The camp has some amenities like horse-back riding, zipline, and cable rides which was one of the reasons we came here. I've never ziplined before and I wanted to experience it here especially that the camp is among the earliest to have it in the country + the highest elevation but we weren't able to do so since the wind was so strong it was too dangerous.
Anyway, I'm gonna show the restaurant first:
Just like the cafe, it has a lot of old American stuff that leans more to the Texas side. This is a bar and diner.
Also you see that dog there? There were plenty of dogs roaming around freely and they are pet-friendly, which is how I was able to bring my dog here. The dogs were very friendly as they are used to the tourists. The one in the pic let me pet him haha.
I don't know where the hell they got all those stuff. Probably in an antique store? Or they probably own restaurants before? Haha pretty interesting.
Beside is the bar. There's no liquor ban here at this time so it was okay to order alcoholic drinks.
It looks quite overwhelming seeing all those random decorations tho.
Interesting menu. Coffee now, tequila later. :D
Yah, there's a lot of things going on haha.
This was taken using the portrait mode of iPhone 13 pro max. Nice right? I like that the blur borders aren't obvious that much. It's just AI but looks like it was taken with a DSLR.
They have a bunch of food in the menu but we ordered the snacks this time.
The pizzas were okay. The dough was soft although I wish there were some pizzas that have a lot of toppings there. They didn't have much pizza selections so we went for the three-cheese and pepperoni.
This is the buffalo wings and I didn't like it much. The sauce was banana ketchup or something, or at least I just taste it that way but I could be wrong tho. I wasn't a big fan.
But the mozzarella sticks <33333333
They were delicious especially the sauce. We like it that much that we ordered again at night lol.
You can also sit here and enjoy the view and the cold. We didn't tho cos there were 6 of us haha.
The restroom... okay... xD
They also have a convenience store + souvenir shop. If you're an idiot who knows the mountain is a cold place but didn't bring a jacket then you can buy one from here. :)
Here's my chunky boi Ethan.
There was a shih-tzu or something small dog that just arrived that time, so he was looking at it. He's always so excited to see new people and dogs, like bruh, not everyone is your playmates. -_- I can also sense fear of other people when they see my bigass dog getting all excited looking at them haha so maybe he can chill a bit cos they'll think you're crazy biter.
The horse-back riding was the only ride we were able to do. The horses look okay and not abused haha so we went and tried it.
It was the first time for my little brother to see a horse and he started crying when the horse walked away so we figured he wants to get on the horse like the other tourists lol. They allow adult + child so it was nice. I'm just about 39 kilos so no biggie.
The ride was $2 per 15 minutes and it was really just a short trip haha.
I look like I'm gonna conquer some kingdom lol.
It was a fun experience even though it was only a 15 minute walk. I hope the horse was okay haha.
That was all for the trip in Camp Sabros. Maybe next time when the weather is okay, I can do the heart dropping zipline. :D
