Hello friends of this community,
It's been a while since I last posted here, but during this period, I've been quite busy with my vacation, so I haven't had the time to post anything. I've been fortunate enough to visit a significant European capital, but I don't want to spoil anything for you, as I'll be sharing the photos I took in this beautiful city over the next few days. I consider it the most beautiful city in all of Europe, and perhaps some of you have already guessed.
Today, however, I want to share some photos I took in a significant location on Lake Garda – a place I've been visiting for several years and which, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and definitely worth a visit. It's called Limone sul Garda, and I think I've already posted something about this important location on Lake Garda in the past.
What can I say about this place? It's about a two-hour drive from Milan, making it very easy to reach from my home. Essentially, it's a charming village situated on the Brescia side of Lake Garda and is famous for its numerous lemon groves, these unique terraced gardens where lemon trees are cultivated. That's why it's named Limone sul Garda.
In fact, in one of the photos I've shared, you can see these terraces. During winter, they're partially covered with sheets, but it's never cold here due to the microclimate of the area, which makes it ideal for the maturation of these plants. Whenever I visit, I always buy a few kilos of lemons to take home. They have a distinct flavor and are different from lemons, for example, those that come from Sicily.
Usually, when I'm in this place, I dine at a beautiful restaurant that offers a view of the lake. I always opt for a seafood-based dish, as they specialize in fish here – not just from the lake but also from the sea.
On that day, I took advantage of the opportunity to stroll along the new cycle path that was inaugurated a few years ago. It's built right along the lake, offering stunning views and a pleasant route. I highly recommend it if you're a cycling enthusiast and find yourself at Lake Garda.
There are plenty of things to do in Limone sul Garda. My suggestion is to explore the narrow streets within this charming village, where you'll find interesting shops. Besides selling souvenirs, they also offer many locally crafted products. This, in my opinion, is a way to support the local economy. Another recommendation is to take a leisurely walk along the lakeside promenade, which is delightful. There are beaches where you can swim or simply relax in the sun.
The only downside I've noticed, which unfortunately is a trend in recent years, is the significant increase in prices at local establishments and restaurants in general. Moreover, Limone sul Garda has a parking issue – there are very few parking spots, and the ones available are quite expensive.
Nonetheless, I can confidently say that Limone sul Garda is a charming place where you can definitely spend a day immersed in nature, history, and relaxation. It remains one of my favorite spots on Lake Garda, even though in August, in my opinion, it gets quite crowded with tourists and can become a bit chaotic.
Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed the photos I took. See you in the next post, which will certainly be about the European capital I visited a few weeks ago.
Goodbye, everyone.
