Another year has come. And a lot of new adventures await. Two weeks ago. We decided to go for a few days vacation in Moalboal which will be a long weekend. Moalboal is located on the southwestern coast of Cebu. And four hour drive away from the City proper.
My partner bought his diving gear and he can't wait to try it on underwater. He's been talking about it since last year and finally, the time has come. Diving with his gear. We are so lucky that a high school classmate of mine who's now residing in Cebu agreed to look after the cats while we're away.
This is our first travel together for this year! And Looking forward to more drives, beaches and anything under the sun.
We stayed at one of our favourite resorts in Moalboal called "Cebu Seaview Dive resort". We often check-in at this place because they're just too good to us not just us as customers but also as friends.
We stayed for four days in total just chillin. And have our US time for ourselves.
Cebu Seaview Dive resort welcome us again as we arrived at their resort. I have seen a few new faces and old faces amongst the staff. They greeted us. We exchanged conversations about the typhoon and said hello to everyone who already knew us. And Yes, it's good to be back. Ras has been visiting this place more often than I am. Because they offer a safe and great diving experience so far. Super friendly, super organised, clean, and a lot of fun.
They have a few guests when we arrived. And that's awesome for the business. It's so nice to see how the businesses are opening up after the typhoon. There's not a lot of damage around the resort even though it's just a few steps from the seashore.
They have a lot of cats around the place and they're so freaking cute. And of course, I meet a very friendly Labrador named April. She's so cute and fluffy 🐶
This place is super friendly that they allowed pet owners to bring their pets with them as they visited the place. I'm sure will bring Jeepjeep and Neyney here one day. They have different rooms to offer for the guest for ordinary ones and they have their premium Seaview deluxe which is very quiet and has a perfect view of Pescador island as you went outside from the bedroom.
They have a porch where you'll be able to sit, read your books, have a drink while enjoying the serenity of the place which I almost did during our stay when Ras is away for diving.
We brought out our beers. So, we'll be able to celebrate the Chinese New year with a bang with their very own beer. 🙃
It has a beautiful sunset view too through the reflection of the glass windows. ☀️
The amazing sunset when you walk through the seashore close to the poolside. Where you can sit under the tree watching the beautiful rays of the magical sunset.
These are the first few sunset photos on our first day. And it's beautiful. Beautiful than ever 🥰
On the second day, Ras started his diving and try all his gear by the pool first before going to the sea salt underwater activity.
It's been a beautiful day and the sun is up shining brightly ☀️🌊
The pool area is one of my favourite spots in this resort. They only have one pool but the view from the pool overlooking the vast ocean is undeniably great. They have a tree in between the view before but the typhoon ODETTE destroyed it and some of their palm/coconut trees. But, I think without the tree on the sight makes it more beautiful. Just plain ocean 🌊 But soon, the leaves on the branches of the tree will grow again.
Ras started wearing his gear in and out of the water with the help of Oscar (the divemaster)The gears he bought from Sweden and bring them back home here. That's how he's passionate about his diving whatever thingy it is. 😆 Well, I tried the open water fun scuba diving once and tried to convince myself to get my real lessons this year. So, I could also enjoy life underwater. Fingers crossed 🤞🙂
Everything seems okayish and someone is ready to go and see some of his favourite diving spots. Unfortunately, Pescador island is not open for diving for three months. As most of the corals were damaged by the typhoon. And mostly some of the corals around too. But, turtles, colourful fishes, sardines are still be seen in the diving spot. But, the corals got devastated and it will take time to be restored.
The sunset during our stay was perfect. It's just that moment that I can't be tired of capturing it every day from any angle of the resort. Especially in the pool area.
Can't wait to see more of the sunsets like this for the next beach trip. And hoping that everything will be back to normal again. 🙏🏼
On the other hand, the resort also offered a free breakfast as it is included with your fees. Oh, well. It's not free as you pay for it. And they also have limited menus in the kitchen as they removed some of the dishes that are not available in the market.
They have American and Filipino breakfast 💛
They only have watermelon shake for the time being but it's super good! 🍹
They also served some Filipino lunch or dinner like Adobo and more.
And of course their chicken, pork schnitzel and their chicken cordon blue ✨
They offered some discount for the rooms now as they don't have a lot of guests for the meantime. The phone signal in the area is also not that good. As they are still fixing it. But, who will need Wifi? If you're in a place where you can relax and enjoy what it offers.
It's worth the long drive with no wifi only basking under the sun, reading books, drinking beers and having fun.
Such an amazing long weekend 💛🏖️🌊🥂
