Hello, friends. I hope you are all well and enjoying life. Today, I want to share another experience, and this time it's not by a lake but in a desert. Yes, I am talking about a desert safari. Wandering through the desert, I discovered the true meaning of solitude and serenity, where the vastness of the sand dunes reflects the infinite possibilities of life.
It was a cold day on October 15, 2023, when my colleagues planned to go on a desert safari. Up until that day, I had never been on a desert trip, so I was more excited than others. We turned our car onto Al Lehbab road, where the desert safari was located. We reached there in about half an hour, and upon arrival, we saw a long queue of vehicles.
There were many tour reservation agents calling people towards them. So, we found a Pakistani agent there, and we asked him about the whole plan and package. He said that he is offering all these packages for 200 AED, which I've listed below:
Dune Bashing on 4x4
Sandboarding
Local Costumes for Pictures
Sunset views in the desert
Unlimited Soft Drinks
Starter Snacks
Belly Dance Show
Tanoura Dance Show
Buffet Dinner with B.B.Q
We decided to go with him. The way was sandy, so our car couldn’t go to the desert destination. From here, only 4x4 vehicles could move on the sand. We sat on the 4x4 vehicles, and first, the driver did dune bashing on the sand. This ride continued for 15 minutes. After that, we reached the destination.
We took some selfies and pictures of the surroundings. Many camels were ready for riding.
We arrived earlier before other programs started. People were coming separately one by one on other vehicles.
We captured some beautiful pictures of the sandy view. People were riding on camels, quad bikes, and boarding on the sand. After that, we enjoyed the sunset. This sunset scene was mesmerizing.
After that, we entered the camp. Many tables were arranged in this place. A table was reserved under our agent's name. We sat at our place and waited for refreshments.
We were served with some starter snacks and soft drinks. Then, the remaining program started. First, a female artist performed a wonderful belly dance with a sword. After that, a Tanoura dance. Tanoura is a traditional national dance in Egypt as well as liked in Arab countries. Its peculiarity is that only men perform the dance. Its meaning is "Arabian skirt." The basis of the dance is a circling artist around its axis, in a clockwise move. People admired the artists after their performance.
Finally, the buffet and dinner program started. People formed a queue to serve their plates. We ate some fried rice and skewers. The taste of the food was average, not as lavish as in restaurants, but we ate to our full because we were hungry. After dinner, we left the camp and returned in our vehicle, just like earlier. This was a wonderful experience for me. I hope you also enjoyed this event through the pictures.
