Day 1: Arrival in Barcelona
After a long flight, I finally arrived in the vibrant and lively city of Barcelona. I checked into my hotel, the Hotel Arts Barcelona, which was located right on the Mediterranean coast. With its sleek modern design and stunning views of the sea, the hotel was the perfect place to relax after a long day of travel.
After freshening up, I set out to explore the city. My first stop was the iconic Sagrada Familia, Gaudí's masterpiece of Gothic architecture. The church was even more breathtaking in person than it was in pictures, and I spent hours marveling at the intricate details of the façade.
Next, I headed to the Gothic Quarter to explore the winding streets and charming squares. I stopped for tapas and a glass of sangria at a small café, and then continued on to the famous Boqueria market. The market was a sensory overload, with stalls selling everything from fresh produce to cured meats to seafood.
In the evening, I returned to the hotel for dinner at the hotel's rooftop restaurant, which had panoramic views of the city. The food was delicious, and I ended the day feeling full and satisfied.
