As I recently told you in another post, during my trip to Germany last year, one day we visited the town of Bamberg, located in the area where I was staying. The city is located in a region of Germany called Bavaria and you can see it in the buildings I photographed.

The buildings from the outside are decorated in traditional Bavarian style. Houses in Bavaria often have bright colors and are decorated with darker wooden elements that form characteristic patterns, such as crossing thin lines.
Budynki z zewnątrz przystrojone są w tradycyjnym bawarskim stylu. Domy w Bawarii mają często jasne kolowr i przystrojone są ciemniejszymi drewnianymi elementami, które układają się w charakterystyczne wzory np. krzyżujące się cienkie kreski.
In Bamberg, despite the narrow streets, many people ride bikes. With this bicycle parking in the city center, I felt like I was in Copenhagen or Amsterdam. There were a lot of them.
W Bambergu mimo, że uliczki są wąskie wiele osób jeździ na rowerach. Przy tym parkingu dla rowerów, w centrum miasta czułam się jak bym była w Kopenhadze lub w Amsterdamie. Było ich mnóstwo.

I bought myself these round cookies called Spitzbuben. They were filled with jam and tasted delicious.
Kupiłam sobie te okrągłe ciasteczka o nazwie Spitzbuben. Były wypełnione konfiturą i smakowały przepysznie.
And here is a sculpture with a hen, egg and little chanterelles. It looks like the head top is removable and you can store something inside.
A tu rzeźba z kurą, jajkiem i małymi kurkami. Wygląda na to, że góra z głową jest zdejmowana i można w niej coś przechowywać w środku.
