Autumn Market in Stockholm
It is already late September, and we find ourselves with only three months left in the year 2022. The fact that three-quarters of a year has already passed reminds me once again how quickly the years go by.
Last month there were still hot and sweaty days, but in September the temperature suddenly began to drop and now it feels chilly without a jacket. Summer days of clear blue skies are over, and now the sky has turned into an autumn sky with light clouds.
I recently visited an outdoor museum called Skansen. During my visit, I found out that they were holding a fall market and decided to go. I have lived in Sweden for a few years now, but this was the first time I had ever been to an autumn festival.
A boulevard ran through Skansen, and stalls set up store along the boulevard (well, it is just a main street). There were stalls selling cotton candy, candy-coated peanuts, sausages and cheese. We passed that boulevard and went to the fall market, where there were many spectators and children.
The staff working at Skansen are all dressed in the same way they would have dressed in Sweden in the past, in order to faithfully reproduce the scenery of Sweden in the past. The high level of production is a surprise every time I visit Skansen. At the center of the autumn festival, there is a straw mountain for children, where children were playing covered in straw. Various other events were being held, and we took pictures with them, sold muffins made by the locals, and gloves and socks sewn from warm sheep's wool.
Sambo and I decided to buy two muffins together and try them. We ordered a handmade blueberry muffin and an apple muffin. The sweet flavored muffins gave our bodies a boost of energy after a long day of walking. LOL! We needed them!! They were delicious with a cup of hot tea that I had brought from home.
秋の収穫祭（オータムマーケット）
もう９月も下旬になり、気が付けば２０２２年もあと３か月ばかりを残すまでになりました。 既に一年の４分の３が終了したと思うと、月日の経過が早いと改めて感じさせられます。
先月はまだ熱く汗をかく日もあったのですが、９月に入り急に気温も下がり始め今ではジャケットがないと肌寒く感じる日が続いています。 澄み渡る青空が続いていた夏の日も終わり、今では薄雲が空に広がる秋の空になりました。
先日、スカンセンと言う野外博物館に遊びに行ってきました。 訪れたときに、またまた秋の市場を開催していると分かり行ってみることにしました。 スウェーデンに住み始め数年になるのですが、秋祭りと言うのに来たことは今回が初めてでした。
スカンセンの中には大通りが通っていて、その大通りに沿って露店が店を出していました。 綿菓子や飴でコーティングしたピーナッツ、ソーセージやチーズを売っている露店などがありました。 その大通りを通り過ぎ、秋の市場に行くとそこにはたくさんの観客と子供たちがいました。
スカンセンで働いている職員は昔のスウェーデンの風景を忠実に再現するため、その当時の服装をみんなさんがしています。 かなりレベルの高いその演出はスカンセンに訪れるたびに驚かされます。 秋祭りの中心には子供の為の藁で作られた山があり、そこで子供たちが藁にまみれて遊んでいました。 他には色々な行事が開催されていて、一緒に写真をとったり、現地の方が作ったマフィンを売ったり、温かそうな羊の毛で縫われた手袋や靴下なども販売していました。
わたしとサンボは一緒にマフィンを買って食べてみることにしました。 手作りで作られたブルーベリーマフィンとリンゴのマフィンを頼んで食べました。 甘く味付けされたマフィンは少し歩き疲れていた体にエネルギーがいきわたるのを感じました。 家から持ってきた温かいお茶と一緒に食べると最高に美味しかったです。
