Hello HIVE Friends...
For the past few days I haven't posted anymore because I'm visiting my parents in the village. As a person who migrated with my husband to a big city in West Java, because my husband was born and worked there. When I was visiting my parents, I was invited by my younger brother to eat together at Saung Kopi Hawwu which is located at the foot of Mount Ciremai Jl. Dr. Ir. Soekarno, (next to SMK BHK) Cirendang, Kuningan, West Java, Indonesia.
It's like entering a 'time machine', a place to let go of the old Sundanese culture. I know Sundanese culture first when I was a child. The atmosphere, decorations, tableware, waiters and furniture are very thick with a rural atmosphere and Sundanese culture, making people who visit Saung Kopi Hawwu get carried away by the atmosphere and forget the reality that they are now in a sophisticated modern era.
At Saung Kopi Hawwu, food processing is also still traditional, namely using a hearth called hawu. Serve the food using plates and glasses made of zinc coated with a special food-safe paint. Saung Kopi Hawwu provides a variety of Sundanese food and drinks with a price range of IDR 5000-20,000 / 0.5-1.5 USD, very cheap.
What distinguishes the coffee in Saung Hawwu and other places is that the coffee is processed traditionally using hawu which makes coffee connoisseurs feel a different sensation in drinking it.
There are several places to take pictures with traditional decorations.
A prayer room is provided to worship Muslims with traditional architecture using bamboo as a wall.
To comply with health protocols, there is also a hand washing area in a traditional style using a jug.
Saung Kopi Hawwu is an option when eating together and at the same time reminiscing about returning to the old Sundanese cultural life accompanied by the cool air and views of Mount Ciremai. Hopefully my writing is useful and thank you.
