Hello travelers, a warm hug to everyone, wherever you are in the world, experiencing the magic of this Christmas.
The charming town of Cubiro is not only home to Plaza Bolívar, but also the San Miguel Arcángel Church right in front of it, which is also a fundamental part of the history, culture, and religion of this town rooted in the faith of the Catholic Church.
The church has a very simple colonial-style structure, with only one entrance and a large wooden door on its main façade, a bell tower accompanied by a horn and a cross on its dome. The yellow color brings joy to its walls and the brown color enhances its details.
It was a huge blessing for me to find the church open. Upon entering, the first thing I saw was an information board, followed by the pews, with an aisle in the center leading directly to the altar. The wooden ceiling tells us that it was built during the colonial era. There were also small chandeliers hanging from it, which are common in older temples. I really liked those details inside.
The images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and the Mystical Rose are located in niches within its walls. On its walls, the Stations of the Cross are reflected in small paintings. There is also a small space with a baptismal font and a Paschal candle inside, accompanied by the Patron Saint of Venezuela, Our Lady of Coromoto, and Saint José Gregorio Hernández.
A colorful mural depicting crops and a farmer represents an entire town, reflecting agriculture and livestock farming, the main activities carried out in Cubiro.
On either side of the altar were images of the patron saints of this parish, Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Anthony of Padua. Finally, I could see Jesus Christ on the cross, with wooden details around him. At this time, Catholics were in Advent, which is the time of preparation for the arrival of the Baby Jesus, which is why there was an Advent wreath and a small nativity scene on the altar.
As I was about to leave, I saw a very colorful and cheerful stained glass window with a dove of peace, which made me reflect a little on the true meaning of Christmas, that it is a time of love, hope, and where we long for peace.
During the night, we went for a walk and returned to the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel. It was illuminated and very beautiful. I was able to see it at two different times and it retained the same meaning.
Cubiro is not only landscape and culture, it is also faith, devotion, and spirituality. Its religious temple is where the prayers of each of the locals reach heaven to await a response from God. What a satisfaction it is for me to be able to visit it and carry it in my memories.

Hola viajeros, un abrazo fraterno para todos en cualquier parte del mundo donde se encuentren viviendo la magia de esta Navidad.
En el encantador pueblo de Cubiro no solo se encuentra la Plaza Bolívar sino también la Iglesia San Miguel Arcángel justo al frente, también es parte fundamental de su historia, cultura y religión de este pueblo arraigado a la fe de la iglesia cristiana católica.
La Iglesia posee una estructura muy simple y de estilo colonial, con solo una entrada y una gran puerta de madera en su fachada principal, un campanario acompañado de una bocina y una cruz en la cúpula del mismo, el color amarillo le da alegría a sus paredes y el marrón favorece sus detalles.
Fue una enorme bendición para mi encontrar la iglesia abierta, al entrar lo primero que encontré era una cartelera informativa, seguidamente de sus bancas, con un pasillo en el centro que conducía directo al altar, su techo de madera nos hacen saber que fue construida en la época de la colonia, también habían pequeños candelabros colgando del mismo, son comunes en los templos con mayor antigüedad, esos detalles en su interior me gustaron bastante.
Las imágenes del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, Virgen del Carmen y la Rosa Mística, se encuentran en nichos dentro de sus paredes, en sus paredes las estaciones del Vía Crucis se reflejaba en pequeños cuadros, además había un pequeño espacio con la pila bautismal y el cirio pascualen su interior, acompañado de la Patrona de Venezuela, la Virgen de Coromoto y San José Gregorio Hernández.
Un mural lleno de color con siembras y un ganadero representan a todo un pueblo, donde se refleja la agricultura y la ganadería, las principales actividades que se desarrollan en Cubiro.
A los costados del altar se encontraban las imágenes el patrono de esta parroquia San Miguel Arcángel y San Antonio de Padua, finalmente pude ver a Jesucristo en la Cruz, con detalles de madera a su alrededor, para este momento los católicos nos encontrábamos en el adviento, que es el tiempo de preparación para la llegada del Niño Jesús es por ello que en el altar se encontraba la corona de adviento y un pequeño nacimiento.
Cuándo estaba a punto de irme pude ver un vitral muy colorido y alegre con una paloma de la paz, lo cuál me hizo reflexionar un poco sobre el verdadero significado de la Navidad, que una época de amor, esperanza y donde anhelamos tener paz.
Durante la noche fuimos a caminar un poco y volvimos a la Iglesia San Miguel Arcángel, estaba iluminada y muy hermosa, pude verla en dos momentos distintos y conservar el mismo significado.
Cubiro, no solo es paisaje y cultura también es fe, devoción y espiritualidad, su templo religioso es donde las oraciones de cada uno de los lugareños llegan al cielo para esperar una respuesta de Dios, que satisfacción para mi poder conocerlo y llevarlo en mis recuerdos.
