Personally, what I like most about Leicester is the diversity in culture, which means that there's a wide range of imports of international foods and supplies from regions such as the Caribbean, Asia and Africa. I also like the layout of the town, and the logistics for walking and experiencing the city's contrast of country canalways and modern cityscapes in the town centre.

Pre-pandemic, one of the perks of having house guests is seeing neighboring sites I would otherwise miss. My college best friend and a new found friend flew in from Manila for a short weekend getaway. I was happy to play tour guide.After a light hike at Osmena Peak and driving along the coast visiting fascinating heritage churches from Argao to Oslob, we decided to spend one afternoon in an off the beaten track to see a non-touristy waterfall in the southern part of Cebu, Philippines.

This year, I am blessed to be residing in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and as you've figured out, my feet are very keen to explore this country even more. Contrary to popular beliefs, traveling around New Zealand doesn't have to be expensive as there are heaps of tourist spots here that can be accessed for free.
