Hi friends I want to share the photos I took just yesterday in this mini trip I did in Civita di Bagnoregio, I think that almost all of you know this beautiful village which is located in Lazio in the province of Viterbo I don't think that many presentations are needed.
This village was defined by the writer Bonaventura tecchi as "the dying city" and here this famous writer spent his youth.
For some time now, entry to enter this village has been practically paid, you pay practically ⬠5 and you can also buy the ticket on the official website of the village while if you want to visit the museum that talks about this village you have to pay another ⬠3.
I am very much in favor of this entrance ticket because part of the money goes for the recovery of almost the whole village.
As you can also see from the photos, a road was built to reach this village and it is quite easy to walk, for those with mobility problems there is a connection through a shuttle.
Think that this village was founded on these hills, which are made entirely of tuff, a very friable material, that's why they need constant maintenance.
Nowadays there are very few residents in the country, most of the people living there have their lives linked to the tourism business.
In fact, inside the village there are many small shops where they sell souvenirs not only from Civita di Bagnoregio but also related to the nearby lake of Bolsena.
However, I repeat it is also a great way to create a job for those who live in this place and also to preserve over time this beautiful village that left me truly speechless the first time I saw it.
When you come to these places, what I can recommend is to take a tour of the streets of this beautiful village and maybe even stop in some bar or restaurant to eat and drink something.
I had already been in this place a long time ago but I must say that I found it much more cared for in the smallest details.
I don't know about you but walking in these places that are practically 2500 years old always impresses me a lot.
Who knows how many people who have passed by this place and who knows how many stories have happened in this place.
I took all day to visit this place because I really wanted to visit it in total tranquility, and while I was walking I saw 2/3 very nice restaurants, where in the last photos I will show you what I ate.
I like to eat and when I come to these places I always try to taste some particular dish that maybe I find only here.
In the end I was struck by this little inn, where I think they made things easier.
And I ate so many good things!!!
As an appetizer I ate a fried eggplant with a very good mozzarella on top, then some fettuccine with wild boar sauce, Finally as a second I ate a lamb with a currant sauce, a really strange thing.
I hope I have made you very hungry but when you go to those places it is also worth tasting these foods.
I hope that my simple story or you liked it from my point of view Civita di Bagnoregio is definitely worth a visit.
Among other things, I discovered that there is also a little trick to not pay the entrance ticket and that is to visit it after 8pm or in the morning before 9am.
Thank you for reading the post see you next time
