The company I am working for right now is the first company that accepted me after I graduated college β€. I am so happy when they accepted me because I was having a hard time finding a job due to a problem with my lungs π«. I remember I was so early in the orientation because I don't want to give a bad impression to them. I was like a scared little puppy back then. I know still remembered what I was like before :D. I don't talk too much, I just do my work, and was so prim and proper (just don't ask what I become right now π
) haahah.
I am in the Business Information team so I really thought that my job would be solely sitting in the office chair and making reports and presenting them but no, I was wrong π . I never thought that this job involves fieldwork and not just within Cebu, but nationwide. So, join me in reminiscing my work travel journey before the pandemic started.
ILOILO
I can still remember when Miss called a meeting and told the team that the Factory Outlets in Iloilo and Bacolod will be opening their Express Delivery and one of us should handle the project. I am the newest and the youngest part of the team at that time plus I'm still in my third month of employment so I never really cared, I thought that the project will be given to the experienced one but I was wrong π, Miss
asked me and made me choose which place would I like to go, Iloilo or Bacolod? I couldn't answer at that time because first, I've never traveled alone π¨ and second I've never been to both places so they, decided for me and let me go to Iloilo.
I prepared so much for my first work travel. I was so scared and excited but more scared hahaha. I packed a lot of clothes and asked my parents and colleagues what I should do at the airport. What are the steps and what should I present π . On the actual day of my flight, it was a very early flight. As I was about to go out of the house, I was shocked when my parents told me that they will come with me to the airport. I looked like an OFW who will be gone for years hahaha π.
Good thing my colleague who's assigned to Bacolod almost has the same time of departure as me. So she accompanied me throughout the process.
I was so busy and scared there that I wasn't able to explore much of the place but I never missed the food that they're famous for, the La Paz Batchoy π₯£.
GENSAN
My second project. I'm a bit strong this time hahaha. I was able to visit the place twice, the first time is when I have to get familiar with the place so I can plot the possible routes of the Express Delivery then the second is the launching of the Express Delivery Project π΅ in Factory Outlet-Gensan. The second time I was there was the memorable one because I was with Miss and Sir Herbert. The launching in Gensan was a bit grand because we did a parade with our mascots and the Express Delivery motorcycle plus some riders joined with us.
During our stay in Gensan, the Account Executive and the Manager assigned to that area brought us to Tiongson Arcade, wherein a lot of stores lined up - displaying fresh catch of seafood ππ where the customers can choose and tell the cook how it should be cooked and they will serve it you minutes later.
Miss and I also had the chance to watch a movie in SM Gensan. Their movie ticket is quite cheap. I like it there hahaha.
The manager in that area also offered to bring us to some beautiful place in Gensan. We went first to Mariano's Blooming Agri-Tourism Park. The place has a lot of beautiful flowers πΊ and plants but the main attraction of this place is the Sunflower Garden π»π»π». It was my first time seeing this many Sunflower plants in one place.
We were offered good food and we also visited a big Pineapple Farm.
When its time to go home, we rode a tricycle going to the airport but we found out that tricycles are not allowed in the airport premises so we walked from the gate to the airport building and since I'm already used to walking, it's never a problem.
BUKIDNON
I didn't travel alone this time hahaha. I was with my colleagues because this project needs a lot of preparation. It is a Factory Outlet Launching, so we have to make it grand and nice. We took a flight to Cagayan then travelled to Bukidnon thru the company's events truck π. We woke up early and went home late at night to make the event perfect.
However, during free time (lunch or late night), we make sure to have fun and enjoy Bukidnon. We did some karaoke and ate out on the famous El Toro Valencia Foodhaus.
We also didn't miss the pineapple π and ukay-ukay there.
OZAMIS
I didn't have much memories of this place since I only stayed for two days here. But those two days were very busy for us. We did a lot of preparations. Thank God it was successful.
What I vividly remember is the hotel we stayed at. It has a very nice restaurant and food plus its very cheap.
They have a lot of one way streets and I love their halo-halo hahaha.
That's it everyone for this post. I still have a lot of places to share with you guys. All of which are made possible by my work in this company π₯°.
THE GOOD B.I. is a group of 4 employees-friends from Cebu City wanting to share their adventures and random ideas with everyone. The groupβs future stories to tell will be so vast and diverse. Imagine having four brains to share different ideas and might end up in a disagreement. A feat that others might be so fearful to do, but they believe that it is what will make their posts more exceptional and remarkable.
