Advice is means giving your opinion or recommendations over an issue which can directly affect the life of a person.
I welcome you to another day of the blogging challenge. This time I will by sharing with you the best advice I have ever received.
I must say, I have received tons of advice in my lifetime. Many of them are great advices because of the kind of people around but nevertheless, I will share the ones that I always have kept in mind.
Here is one from my wonderful Mother:

My son, never forget who you are and where you come from
My beautiful mother always tells me this mainly because she doesn't want me to lose the values she had taught me while I was younger. She believe one can lose himself while out there in the midst of different kind of people and can be affected by the pressure the society gives.
Here another advice I had received and that have always kept me moving:

LIFE IS NOT A RACE, WE ALL LIVE IN OUR OWN TIME, NEVER ENVY NOR HATE AS DELAY IS NOT DENIAL
This is one of the best advice ever heard. I can't probably remember who said this to me but if I am to say it would be my lovely mother 😊.
What this quote means is we are all in our own respective journey and not in a race with anybody but with ourselves alone.
The part "We all live in our own time" means you will surely get to meet people who will do better than you even when they are younger than you and has applied little effort to attain their achievements compared to the struggle you have made but we should know that a man can rich at a younger age and die before his old age while some can get rich at older age and live more years still he dies. It simply means we all have our different destinies.
"NEVER ENVY OR HATE": In this part of the quote, it is normal to envy a friend who does better even when applying little effort and I must say this occurs everywhere including on Hive. You will probably get to have friends who will envy/hate you because earn more rewards than they do. All these are normal but I can't hate because of someone's progress, instead I use that time working on myself to be better.
DELAY IS NOT DENIAL: Most times our goals and plans get delayed. When we try so hard to achieve something and it doesn't come in time, we should believe it hasn't come yet because it's not the perfect time to have it.
This makes me presently remember about my course of study. I wrote the exam 3 times and wasn't giving admission without failing the exam. I went for the exam the 4th year and then it clicked, I got that course I have always wanted.
In short, if you really want something, how long can you preserve for it. A goal that takes a long time to achieve is greater than that which came with lesser effort. It is like comparing the time of pregnancy of an elephant to a dog. They both go through the same pregnancy but one takes 2 years in pregnancy before giving birth while the other takes 2 months.
