Good day motherhood hope you're having a wonderful time winding down for the new year and preparing for Christmas it's such a magical time of year and one filled with joy and excitement. I love this weeks challenge and I can't wait to see how everyone celebrates Christmas.
Today, I want to share with you how our club celebrated Christmas tonight as sporting clubs are quite important for the community as they bring everyone together. With good times and great spirit, lots of friends are made and lots of families come together.
Tonight we celebrated Christmas with a community festival and a coaches match, throughout the year the coaches have been teaching the kids how to play soccer and now we get to see who is the best on the field as they put their skills to the test against each other.
There was plenty of food and entertainment for the kids with a sausage sizzle, pop corn, fairy floss, Cafe with COFFEE!!! Chips, hot dogs and everything you need at a community festival.
There was plenty of Kids entertainment also with Christmas movies playing in the back ground and a number of popular Christmas time jingles. If I hear All I want for Christmas one more time I'm probably going to go insane!
The funniest thing to watch had to be the soccer match where contestents had to get inside giant inflatable balloon thingies and try to play soccer! Oh the laughs were had. There was also a toddlers inflatable soccer field which ended up being a jumping castle.
The face painting by far was little miss's favourite part she loves getting her face painted and she asked for a snow girl unicorn which I'm not too sure what that is but the face painter delivered the goods. I was worried little miss wouldn't like it but she was absolutely blown away with how awesome it came out and I was left smiling because my little girl was happy.
Lil bloke isn't old enough to get in on all the action and really wants to but unfortunately he still needs to grow abit more. He still loves being around everyone and for a baby born in lock down he has started to show signs of improvement. He's crawling and standing now, all the excitement of other kids running around has really made him want to move. Each day he amazes me with his changes and now he will say words like awk (walk) because he wants to go to the great outdoors and explore more.
There was a Santa on sight for Christmas photos but little miss was to scared, she also picked that it wasn't the real Santa it's just someone dressed up as santa which I found to be quite cute and entertaining.
Joining the club was probably the best decision I've ever made and she's really enjoyed the friendships that she has made and the good times that she has had. It's more than just a club, it's a family.
On Christmas day our family will come together for the usual meal and I would have liked to head to regional Victoria to see family but unfortunately with a new COVID strain emerging I don't think it will be possible.
For the mean time, we had a wonderful time at the George Cross Soccer Club Christmas Party!
