Un Cuento Perfecto es una miniserie en adaptación del libro de Elisabet Benavent. No es una historia romántica diferente y única que recordarás por siempre, no, realmente es otra serie romántica más. Sin embargo, eso no significa que sea aburrida, un total cliché, o que deba ser ignorada, al contrario, es tan linda, divertida y espontánea que merece darle una oportunidad.

Su principal función es entretener y enamorar al público con un romance genuino y carismático. Y, sinceramente, todos merecemos un poco de romance en nuestras vidas, así sea a través de la pantalla o en un libro, esa es la razón por la cuál me gusta ver esta clase de series o películas de vez en cuando. Un cuento perfecto tiene varias cosas a su favor, que hacen más atractiva la historia y ayudó que disfrutara cada capítulo, así que -sin spoilers- te daré mi opinión de la serie✨

A Perfect Story is a miniseries adapted from the book by Elisabet Benavent. It's not a different and unique romantic story that you'll remember forever, no, it's really just another romantic series. However, that doesn't mean it's boring, a total cliché, or should be ignored, on the contrary, it's so cute, funny and spontaneous that it deserves to be given a chance.

Its main function is to entertain and entice the audience with a genuine and charismatic romance. And, honestly, we all deserve a little romance in our lives, be it through the screen or in a book, that's the reason why I like to watch this kind of series or movies from time to time. A Perfect Story has several things going for it, that make the story more engaging and helped me enjoy every chapter, so -without spoilers- I'll give you my opinion of the series✨

Margot (Anna Castillo) es una chica exitosa, trabajadora y adinerada, que ha perdido su esencia intentando buscar -y aparentar- la "vida perfecta". David (Álvaro Mel) está estancado en el rumbo de su vida, por el miedo a tomar riesgos y salir de su zona de confort se encuentra dando vueltas sin sentido. Ambos se encuentran en una relación en dónde no son realmente felices, pero cada uno -por razones distintas- se sigue aferrando a esa persona, dañándose a sí mismo.

Por casualidades de la vida sus caminos se cruzan, y a pesar de tener estilos de vidas diferentes se dan cuenta que son personas muy similares y compatibles. Debido a un plan loco para recuperar a sus ex parejas, surge una amistad inesperada que los lleva por un tour a Grecia, un viaje que les permitirá reconectar consigo mismos y plantearse nuevas metas en su vida. ¿Un cliché de dos protagonistas de mundos diferentes, que por el azar se conocen y se enamoran, y sus vidas cambian para siempre? Sí, sí lo es. Pero hay que ser sinceros de que existen clichés que amamos seguir viendo.

Margot (Anna Castillo) is a successful, hard-working and wealthy girl, who has lost her essence trying to seek -and pretend- the "perfect life". David (Álvaro Mel) is stuck in the direction of his life, afraid to take risks and get out of his comfort zone, he finds himself going around in circles. Both are in a relationship where they are not really happy, but each one -for different reasons- keeps clinging to that person, hurting themselves.

By chance of life their paths cross, and despite having different lifestyles they realize that they are very similar and compatible people. Due to a crazy plan to win back their ex-partners, an unexpected friendship arises that takes them on a tour to Greece, a trip that will allow them to reconnect with themselves and set new goals in their lives. A cliché of two protagonists from different worlds, who by chance meet and fall in love, and their lives change forever? Yes, yes it is. But we have to be honest that there are clichés that we love to keep watching.

Los actores tienen muy buena química, permitiendo que amemos a los personajes juntos, porque son una pareja muy linda y envidiable. Ambos comienzan la historia con el corazón roto, sintiéndose perdidos y vacíos, ¿y quién no se ha sentido así? Es fácil conectar con ellos, muchos nos hemos sentido confundidos y abandonados en una relación, o nos han terminado exponiendo todos los defectos que tenemos.

Es una miniserie, por lo tanto todo pasa muy rápido, pero sentí que no fue excesivamente apresurado, fue lo justo y necesario para cinco capítulos. El romance se desarrolla poco a poco para los personajes, hasta que llegan en un punto que no saben cómo se enamoraron pero lo están, y no hay vuelta atrás. Se siente natural, y es un amor sano, ayudando que ambos mejoren en sus defectos.

Ella le enseña tomar responsabilidades y riesgos, ser un adulto; y él le demuestra cómo soltar y relajarse, la importancia de los pequeños detalles. La vida es complicada sin importar lo que hagamos, así que al menos deberíamos disfrutar del proceso.

The actors have very good chemistry, allowing us to love the characters together, because they are a very cute and enviable couple. They both start the story with a broken heart, feeling lost and empty, and who hasn't felt like that? It's easy to connect with them, many of us have felt confused and abandoned in a relationship, or have ended up being exposed all the flaws we have.

It's a miniseries, so everything happens very quickly, but I felt it wasn't overly rushed, it was just right and necessary for five chapters. The romance develops slowly for the characters, until they reach a point where they don't know how they fell in love but they are, and there's no turning back. It feels natural, and it's a healthy love, helping them both improve on their flaws.

She teaches him to take responsibilities and risks, to be an adult; and he shows her how to let go and relax, the importance of small details. Life is complicated no matter what we do, so we should at least enjoy the process.

Es una historia que llega en pleno verano, así que se agradece viajar y conocer las maravillas de Grecia. Los monumentos, los pueblos, las playas, los restaurantes y su gente. La mayor parte de la trama sucede en un recorrido por el país, y por un momento te sientes allí, como si pudieras tocarlo o sentir la brisa del mar. Eso fue un detalle que me encantó.

La belleza de cada lugar que visitan atrapa toda tu atención, deseando ser una persona enamorada disfrutando de un atardecer griego en los brazos de tu amado. Esos pequeños detalles le agregan valor a la historia. También vemos bastante de España y un poco de Londres, con lugares hermosos que sueño con visitar algún día.

It's a story that comes in the middle of summer, so it's nice to travel and see the wonders of Greece. The monuments, the villages, the beaches, the restaurants and the people. Most of the plot happens on a tour of the country, and for a moment you feel like you are there, like you can touch it or feel the sea breeze. That was a detail that I loved.

The beauty of each place they visit catches all your attention, wishing you were a person in love enjoying a Greek sunset in the arms of your beloved. Those little details add value to the story. We also see quite a bit of Spain and a bit of London, with beautiful places that I dream of visiting someday.

La serie juega con nuestros sentimientos varias veces, con un truco que me hizo caer como tonta cada vez que lo usaron. Es un "Qué pasaría sí…", qué pasaría si dijeran tal cosa, si tomaran otra decisión, una línea alternativa de lo que pudiera haber pasado. Al principio muestran una escena y crees que es el rumbo normal de la historia, pero luego todo se rebobina y el personaje toma otra decisión, siendo este la trama original, y lo otro solo un "qué pasaría si hubiera dicho eso".

Varias veces pensé: "wow, magnífico, dijo lo que sentía directamente, mis respetos para tí ", pero no, solo fue un escenario que el personaje imaginó, y los directores jugando con nuestra mente. Era muy frustrante, y te das cuenta que la vida podría ser un poco más fácil si todos somos directos y sinceros acerca de nuestros sentimientos, pero no, no somos así, le tenemos miedo al rechazo, y por ende, somos reservados y tomamos el camino seguro, así que me gustó ese mensaje que dieron.

The series plays with our feelings several times, with a trick that made me fall like a fool every time they used it. It's a "What if...", what if they said such a thing, if they made another decision, an alternative line of what could have happened. At the beginning they show a scene and you think it's the normal course of the story, but then everything is rewound and the character makes another decision, this being the original plot, and the other thing just a "what if they had said that."

Several times I thought: "wow, magnificent, they said what they felt directly, my respects to them", but no, it was just a scenario that the character imagined, and the directors playing with our minds. It was very frustrating, and you realize that life could be a little easier if we are all direct and honest about our feelings, but no, we are not like that, we are afraid of rejection, and thus, we are reserved and take the safe road, so I liked that message they gave.

Ese truco en la historia también lo utilizaron en el final de la serie, y tengo entendido que en el libro es exactamente igual. La verdad no entiendo como no lo ví venir, habían estado usando ese "qué pasaría si" en todos los capítulos, y era obvio que en el final volvería a suceder, pero inocentemente lloré con el primer resultado que mostraron. Y en el segundo resultado seguí llorando, pero porque ya estaba harta de que me ilusionaran y rompieran mi corazón. Pero, siendo sincera, me encantó esa manera de contar la historia.

Por lo tanto, la cereza del pastel es el final. Dos caminos. ¿Qué pasaría si dejamos que el miedo nos consuma, y cuando encontramos a una persona maravillosa la dejamos ir?. Pero también, ¿qué pasaría si a pesar del miedo nos arriesgamos, e intentamos todo con esa persona? Dos situaciones que le podría suceder a cualquiera, y que nos demuestran como una sola decisión puede traer grandes consecuencias.

No voy a entrar en detalles, para no hacer spoiler de cada decisión, pero sí los voy a comentar de manera superficial.

That trick in the story was also used in the end of the series, and I understand that in the book it's exactly the same. I really don't understand how I didn't see it coming, they had been using that "what if" in all the chapters, and it was obvious that in the finale it would happen again, but I innocently cried with the first result they showed. And on the second outcome I still cried, but because I had had enough of being deluded and having my heart broken. But, being honest, I loved that way of telling the story.

Therefore, the icing on the cake is the ending. Two ways. What if we let fear consume us, and when we meet a wonderful person we let them go. But also, what if despite the fear we take a risk, and try everything with that person? Two situations that could happen to anyone, and that show us how a single decision can bring great consequences.

I will not go into details, so as not to make spoilers for each decision, but I will comment superficially.

Si no nos arriesgamos a dar un paso al frente, ¿cómo avanzaremos? Siempre quedaremos en el mismo lugar, la vida y las personas pasarían, y nosotros sólo seríamos espectadores. Y la situación es aún más triste cuando hay una segunda persona involucrada, alguien que amamos y deseamos, pero nunca dimos ese "paso de fe". Ella o él avanzará, porque nadie merece quedarse esperando por un tren que no llegará. Un final agridulce con el cual muchos podrían sentirse identificados.

Para lograr "un cuento perfecto" necesitamos valentía y confianza. Mantener la esperanza. Si tienes la suerte de encontrar a alguien que verdaderamente amas y te comprende, no puedes dejar que esa persona se vaya solo porque tengas miedo. Todos tenemos traumas del pasado, pero no es razón para no creer en el futuro, y dejar ir lo que podría ser la mejor historia de tu vida. Aceptación, apoyo y atención genuina no te lo va a ofrecer cualquiera.

No te explican cuál es el final verdadero. Después de haber conocido, viajado y enamorado junto a los personajes, tú decides con cuál final te quedas de acuerdo a los actos de cada uno. Yo decido creer en el poder del amor, y me quedo con el final más romántico. Porque debemos estar claros que no vemos estas historias por su realismo, sino porque queremos finales felices y románticos.

If we do not take the risk of stepping forward, how will we move forward? We will always remain in the same place, life and people would pass by, and we would only be spectators. And the situation is even sadder when there is a second person involved, someone we love and desire, but never took that "step of faith". She or he will move on, because no one deserves to be left waiting for a train that won't come. A bittersweet ending with which many could identify.

To achieve "a perfect story" we need courage and confidence. Maintain hope. If you are lucky enough to find someone you truly love and understand, you can't let that person go just because you are afraid. We all have traumas from the past, but that's no reason not to believe in the future, and let go of what could be the best story of your life. Acceptance, support and genuine care is not going to be offered to you by just anyone.

They don't explain what the true ending is. After having met, traveled and fallen in love with the characters, you decide which ending to choose according to the actions of each one. I choose to believe in the power of love, and I'll take the most romantic ending. Because we must be clear that we do not see these stories for their realism, but because we want happy and romantic endings.

Solo son cinco capítulos, no tienes excusas, puedes darle una oportunidad a esta historia divertida, encantadora y llena de amor. Déjate enamorar de Margot y David. Una historia cliché pero entretenida, protagonistas con química, y lugares preciosos de fondo, todo esto durante esa ilusión de un amor de verano que nos da esta época.

Y el mayor mensaje que nos deja Un Cuento Perfecto es que debemos tomar decisiones valientes, a veces es favorable dejarse guiar por el amor y deseo, por los anhelos de nuestro corazón. En ocasiones el que un camino sea el más seguro, no significa que sea el correcto.

There are only five chapters, you have no excuses, you can give a chance to this funny, charming and full of love story. Let yourself fall in love with Margot and David. A cliché but entertaining story, protagonists with chemistry, and beautiful places in the background, all this during that illusion of a summer love that this season gives us.

And the greatest message that A Perfect Story leaves us is that we must make brave decisions, sometimes it is favorable to be guided by love and desire, by the desires of our heart. Sometimes just because a path is the safest, does not mean it is the right one.
