But let's see, not everything is so light and soft, no no, the plot has a background that is touched upon very superficially and that I suspect will be deepened in a second season, in case it exists, at least Flanagan made it clear that this is a story that should be told in more installments. The background has to do with a sect that inhabited that house and that according to the story may have something to do with all the paranormal experiences that are lived there. The truth is that not much is known since they decided to leave many questions unanswered. But then this makes it a bad production? - It is not Flanagan's best, that's for sure, but it is true that I expected much less than what I saw, I went with low expectations and thanks to that I was not so disappointed.
Halloween Contest: DAHMER - MONSTER: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (My Opinion)
This is probably one of the scariest shows I've ever seen as I find everything Jeffrey Dahmer did really horrendous. I will start by praising the incredible and impeccable job that Evan Peters did playing Jeffrey Dahmer, who always shines with this type of role, I loved his way of playing Jeffrey Dahmer as a harmless-looking serial killer and transmitting fear, tension and anguish as the story unfolds. Also the interpretation of the other actors was quite good since I managed to feel the anger and impotence that Glenda Cleveland transmits when calling 911 and not being heard, also the pain and guilt that Jeffrey's father felt when seeing what his son had become and also the pain of seeing the families of the victims suffering for everything that happened. In general the result was really excellent.
It gave me a good laugh that despite the situation they were in, they were just arguing with each other and bringing out truths, implying that they didn't really like each other. An absurd thing, but that really worked within the plot, was the excess of black humor that was constantly written on all the walls of that mansion. I thought the performances were sublime, since the objective, in my opinion, was to make you as a spectator detest those spoiled and egomaniacal teenagers. I really just hoped that the killer, whoever it was, would finish them off quickly, as I couldn't stand those kids and how badly they treated each other.
I think it was very played out trying to cram 4 plots in at the same time and trying to make them intersect. I feel like this first season was mostly introductory. We got to know the characters, their histories, their species, their way of life, some conflicts and bam, it ended with a bombshell reveal. Although I have to say I had it coming, I'm not saying it was predictable, but I did suspect it. However, I have to say that I didn't find any of them boring, in each one I had (and have, luckily) my favorite characters. Although I feel it's a risk to have favorite characters in series of this nature, you know what I mean. I also feel that it was a little short, maybe it would have been nice to develop things a little more and give the respective moments on screen to each plot. For example, in the last episode of the season the dwarves did not appear, nor were they mentioned, and in the penultimate episode something strange was seen far below the mines. In addition to what happened with Durin and his father, the king. But in general I enjoyed watching each weekly chapter, I was looking forward to them. I hope that in the next seasons it will improve for the better and we can continue to see more of this story.
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
