Sin embargo, este filme para mí va más allá de locaciones, si vieron máxima velocidad y les gustó; estoy totalmente seguro que a pesar de no ser un éxito taquillero, la película que presento hoy los mantendrá pegados al sillón, además de que nos mantiene en vilo por no saber que podría pasar. Les hablo de la cinta Imparable del año 2010, una producción que se realizó por inspiración en hechos reales, cuando en el año 2001 ocurrió tal situación en Ohio Estados Unidos. I'm not a big fan of movies where the plot basically takes place in similar scenes. However, this film for me goes beyond locations, if you saw Maximum Speed and liked it; I am absolutely sure that despite not being a box office success, the film I present today will keep you glued to the couch, besides keeping us in suspense for not knowing what could happen. I am talking about the 2010 film Unstoppable, a production that was inspired by real events, when in 2001 such a situation occurred in Ohio in the United States. Como dije, traemos una trama del genial Tony Scott, que si no me equivoco, fue la última como director antes de su fallecimiento. Desde su lente disfrutamos de filmes como Top Gun, El Último Boy Scout, Días de Trueno, Deja Vu, Hombre en Llamas, Marea Roja, y ahora Imparable, éstas últimas 4 con el mismo Denzel Washington, donde nos trae un montón de toneladas de acero que viaja a velocidades trepidantes de pura acción y emoción. Tony para llevar a cabo esta película se inspiró en hechos que se sucedieron en Ohio Estados Unidos para el año 2001; específicamente en el caso CSX 8888. De paso, imparable fue nominada al Oscar 2011 por Mejor Edición de Sonido, pero solo se quedó hasta allí; además de que la película se llevó un presupuesto de 100 millones de dólares, recaudando un poco más de 167 millones de dólares, ni siquiera duplicó. Cuando vemos películas de un tren descontrolado, podemos recordar filmes como el tren del infierno; otra que me gusta mucho es alerta máxima 2 con Steven Seagal; no puedo dejar de lado a Sin Control, con mi actor favorito Jean Claude Van Dame. Sin embargo, en ellas además del descontrol de la máquina, se presenta la acción en fabulosas peleas, cosa que no vemos en Imparable. Porque sencillamente esta historia nos plantea la lucha del hombre contra un montón de toneladas de acero; además de otra lucha generada entre los empleados y una empresa a quien no le importan los seres humanos. Lo que si hay por demás es tensión, acción, drama, emoción, y el suspenso que sentimos al pensar que esta bestia metálica pueda llegar a matar a miles de personas; pareciera que esta máquina tuviera vida propia, como aquella película John Carpenter, sobre un auto poseído que tiene voluntad propia llamado Christine.
En cuanto al director Tony Scott, este no ha dejado su maestría y estilo al cual nos tiene acostumbrado. Planos muy movidos, escenas trepidantes que no dejan la mirada quieta. Aquí Scott dejo de lado los efectos por computadoras, manteniendo el realismo dentro del filme. Ciertamente no estamos en presencia de un éxito taquillero, pero realmente la tensión, la acción, el drama, y el suspenso atrapan a quienes estamos delante de la pantalla. Es dinámico y entretenido, apuntando al heroísmo de todos los actores, por otra parte, desde mi punto de vista las escenas son fabulosas, la fotografía ni se diga, todo está bien estructurado, hasta nos enseñan el funcionamiento de los trenes por lo que cada uno de ustedes podrá manejar uno, jajaja. Otra cosa que me llamó la atención fueron las tomas áreas, generadas durante la persecución de la maquina. No olvidemos que una de las locaciones que más observamos es la cabina del 1206.

Si hablamos de los personajes, cada uno en su sitio realizando el trabajo para el cual fueron encomendados. Un Denzel Washington como siempre centrado en lo que hace, no ha habido película donde este actor no encaje con su personaje, pareciera que cada papel estuviera hecho paga él, su forma de actuar es muy natural, y en este filme lo vuelve a demostrar, por algo es el pupilo de Tony. Aquí lo vemos como el experto maquinista, y lo hace tan bien que hasta creo que ha estado en esto toda su vida. Chris Pine con una actuación aceptable, digna de todo novato que inicia en un trabajo, y que al parecer no sirve para ello, por lo que es puesto a prueba en varias ocasiones por Denzel; lo que evidencia la tradicional puesta en escena de los cambios que pueden suceder en los trabajos. Para mi esta dupla es muy buena, y les digo algo, el mismo Washington le pidió a Tony que Chris era el candidato para ese papel.
No podemos dejar de lado a la gente que está detrás de los audífonos en la sala de control, la cual es liderada por Rosario Dawson, una actriz sumamente versátil, la hemos visto en papeles de todo tipo, hasta ha prestado su voz para otros personajes. Aquí la vemos como una persona con aplomo y serenidad ante una situación de caos, a quien no le importa la empresa, sino la vida humana, hasta el punto de enfrentarse con sus jefes; muy buena actuación de Rosario. Por otro lado, los personajes secundarios que no tienen mucha participación, sino la de generar el caos de la trama, y en otra instancia el director que solo desea imponer su voluntad. Pero la gran estrella es el bólido metálico, el Triple 777 cuyas miradas están sobre él en todo momento, una bestia que parece tener voluntad propia, implacable, animal ruge como nunca y va a su máxima velocidad.

Hemos llegado al final amigos de esta entrega, donde se presenta una mezcla de acción no convencional con el drama y suspenso del cine catastrófico. Un filme trepidante y lleno de emoción, que si bien es cierto no es de verlo en la gran pantalla; pero si digno de disfrutarlo en casa, ya que resulta muy entretenido y cumple su objetivo, el de mantenernos activos y con los ojos puestos en escena, ya que no sabemos que es lo que va pasar. Debo acotar que no soy cineasta, ni crítico, simplemente veo películas, si me gusta las plasmo aquí, y las volvería a ver sin ningún remordimiento.
