Agatha All Along, Episode 3 aired last night and I couldn't wait to watch it so I went to be a bit late, now trying to stay awake at work. Episode 3 in my opinion is the confirmation that this is a good series when it comes to production, how they creating this fantasy world of the witches, the actors been smooth developing their role and how the story make sense, but I do have to mention at times some characters are just too feminine, in the case of Billy, nothing that would stop me from watching the series for now.
This episode title "Through Many Miles of Tricks and Trials," certainly did justice to it since we are discussing escape room feels, a multitude of pop culture references and a witch road trip that might change your ideas about your next family excursion, the production of the series have definitely exceeded expectations this time, developing an episode that is both a mystery and a comedy, if not perfect I would call it a great balance between both.

Agatha's Coven gets to the witches' road, it's quite a spectacle to see, this is what I refer to creating the fantasy world. The design of the set is completely impressive, with these bent trees that appear ready to grab you, they used real miniatures for a few of the background locations, just as done in the vintage Wizard of Oz movie, and I didn't mention it on my previous recap but this adventure they having does feel like the Wizard of Oz Golden Road type.
The Salem 7 are still after Agatha and are trying to figure out how to get her since they have all the time in the universe but are eager to turn her apart or burn her, what ever is on their power. On the previous episode I was a bit confuse as what was "Billy" name since he is been mention online as Billy character name although in production they all have turn into calling him "Teen", yup I don't understand the reasons for this and don't want to think there is something else behind but just trolling him. Jennifer had the idea to call his parents at some point in the episodes but how they going to do that if my speculation he is Wanda's son, she dead? is she?!.
Through the road, there are several trials they have to complete, the first trial is quite a dramatic event, they show up in this kitchen that appears to be plucked from a home decor magazine, mysterious invitation card that featured a riddle is presented to them, and its Sharon who has managed to crack the code. It seems that everything is about wine! Not just any red wine, but a Spanish one that has serious House of M energy . We finally confirm all of Agatha's details, it seems that in exchange for the Darkhold, she traded her child, this discovery introduces a new dimension to Agatha's character. We all know that Agatha is all about herself, she can care less about the "Coven" but as they go through the multiple trials they will have to work together. But I think form this episode we start to watch how far Agatha will go to get back her power, on previous episode at the last moment they needed a witch with earth powers and she picks up Mrs. Hart. I truly believe she was a witch that probably was under a spell and forgot everything but the fact is that she was not or at least that what it looks like since Billy did mention anyone can become a witch with the proper study, Mrs. Hart had no powers and she dies, she was just a regular muggle that Agatha intentionally took so the others could shut up and she was right about not needing her to open the portal so she was well aware all this time, heroes starting to turn into the bad guys?
The first trial seem to be directly attach to Jennifer, there is this big house, lot of decoration and fashion into it but they all know its fake, like the life style she was trying to pretend to have when Agatha went looking for her, I think each of the trials will refer to either their personalities or life, similar to how The Box in Dark Matter operates, each universe that shows up behind each door represent the mental state and person who opens the door, same thing each trial will be link to each one of them, wonder how its going to be once its Agatha's.
This weekend I might probably burn some hours watching WandaVision that I never saw because the at the time the super hero theme content burn out was a thing and I felt like just skipping it but to understand more about Agatha and Billy I will have to watch it since there are a ton of reference to WandaVision based on what I have found online after asking myself some of the questions I write about above, also the reason why I went late to bet last night after watching the episode. I have mention this before and try to remind anyone reading my posts that I'm not the geek type viewer, I personally prefer to react to content instead of knowing before hand, makes it more interesting for me.
The one who have so far stole the show is Billy, this young guy is a witch geek, probably even know more text book witchcraft than anyone else in the series and keeps everything in a little notebook, during the episode Agatha once mention how the road suits him with his Gothic looks, either he was born to be in the road or backwards, this actually tells us he probably has the potential to overpower all of them, I'm really enjoying the interaction between the two since they are the main characters of this series, probably Agatha at some point becomes his teacher.
Aside from this an amateur who doesn't know or have the experience I'm starting to believe that is the total opposite, in fact give me Loki vibes, what if Billy knows everything about the road and witchcraft or is he just working his vengeance against Agatha, there is this spell that activates when ever he says his name or talks about himself, nobody can listen to him and a symbol shows up on his mouth, who did that?, I guess Agatha will eventually figure out who Billy is.
The episode over all has some clear targets, examines themes of sacrifice, power, and the outcomes of our choices that really connects with each of the characters as they start to tell their stories one by one, this make more questions to come up as how or if they all will eventually connect with Agatha somehow or is it that they all have individual agendas, the second answer is the most obvious but lets face it this kinda of series always have a message behind it, as I mention on my previous recap, this is not your classic war conflict movie like any other Avengers or Guardians of The Galaxy.
