How exciting it was to see actor Noah Wyle as my beloved John Carter from the television series ER! , a series that ran for 15 seasons and which I confess I watched religiously. Now he's starring again in a series about everything that happens in an ER, this time in Pittsburgh, hence its name.

Before I started watching this series, I did some reading and saw that one of the directors was John Wells who was responsible for the very same ER , from Third Watch which was a 1999-2005 series of 132 chapters about police officers, firefighters and ambulances, which I also watched religiously; and the 10-episode miniseries from 2021 MAID that I also saw and about which I even made my Post on that occasion. That is to say, I have been a fan of their series for many years, but since I have been creating content in the Movies & Tv Shows community, I have been paying more attention to the names and trajectories of the directors, in order to have more valuable knowledge. So, having this protagonist and this director, I decided to watch the series THE PITT.

¡Qué emoción ver al actor Noah Wyle mi querido John Carter de la serie de televisión ER ! , una serie que duró 15 temporadas y que les confieso las vi todas religiosamente. Ahora protagonista y nuevamente en una serie sobre todo lo que ocurre en una sala de Urgencias, en esta ocasión en Pittsburgh, de ahí su nombre.

Antes de empezar a ver esta serie, leí un poco y vi que uno de los directores era John Wells quien ha sido responsable de la mismísima ER , de Third Watch que fue una serie de 1999-2005 de 132 capítulos sobre policías, bomberos y ambulancias, la cual también vi religiosamente; y de la mini serie de 10 capítulos del 2021 Las cosas por limpiar que también vi y de la cual incluso realicé mi Post en esa oportunidad. Es decir, que he sido fanática de sus series durante muchos años, pero desde que estoy creando contenido en la comunidad Movies & Tv Shows es que estoy prestando más atención a los nombres y trayectorias de los directores, para tener más conocimiento de valor. Así que, teniendo a este protagonista y a este director, decidí ver la serie THE PITT.

I know there have been many other series about emergency rooms, but I like that from the first episode, they have good acting, interesting cases that aren't repetitive, perhaps some dark humor, just the right amount of drama, good stories, and characters that capture your heart.

The Pitt gives us everything I love in a series from the first episode. And if you're wondering, I'll tell you right away: It's not a sequel to ER. In this series, Noah Wyle plays Dr. Michael "Robby" Rabinavitch, a highly trained attending physician, responsible for his 15-hour shift, where he has other attending physicians (or tenured physicians, as we would say in my country) and students in their two-year training or internships.

Se que han habido muchas otras series sobre salas de emergencias, pero me gusta que tengan desde el capítulo 1, buenas actuaciones, casos interesantes que no sean repetitivos, tal vez algo de humor negro, el drama en su justa medida, buenas historias y personajes que te roben el corazón.

The Pitt, nos entrega todo lo que me gusta de una serie desde el capítulo 1. Y si te lo preguntas, te diré de una vez que No es una continuación de ER. En esta serie Noah Wyle interpreta al Dr. Michael «Robby» Rabinavitch, médico adjunto sumamente preparado, responsable de su turno de 15 horas, donde tiene a otros médicos adjuntos (o titulares diríamos en mi país) y de estudiantes en su etapa de preparación o pasantías de 2 años.

In this first season, The Pitt is structured into 15 episodes, and each episode covers one hour of that 15-hour shift, which, as I mentioned, is headed by Dr. Robby.

This is a distinctive feature of the series, as at the beginning of each episode, we see the hour of the shift that will comprise that episode highlighted in characters. Of course, in each episode of these 15 hours of on-call duty, we see not only the development of several medical cases, but also the interaction between the characters, their weariness from the hours on call, and I would say a little bit of their lives—very little, really.

The Pitt en esta primera Temporada, está estructurada en 15 capítulos, y cada capítulo es sobre 1 hora de ese turno de 15 horas, donde como mencioné está al frente el Dr. Robby.

Esto es una característica distintiva de la serie, ya que al comenzar cada capítulo, vemos en caracteres destacada la hora de esa guardia que va a comprender ese capítulo. Por supuesto que, cada capítulo de estas 15 horas de guardia vemos el desarrollo no solo de varios casos médicos, sino también la interacción entre los personajes, su desgaste por las horas de guardia, y diría que un poco de la vida de ellos, muy poco realmente.

This first season covers the characters' lives almost superficially. Each episode is filled with numerous medical cases, which as a viewer, I truly appreciated, as the narrative allows us to feel like we're actually inside the emergency room. It's like when we're on standby in the ER and want to know what's happening with each emergency case that passes by us. That's how I felt, and I couldn't stop watching episode after episode until I finished this season.

Something we learned through flashbacks is that the protagonist, Dr. Robby, has certain traumas related to past events in the ER. As you can see, there are many hospitalized patients and he's wearing a medical gown, so it's inevitable to realize that this is the COVID-19 pandemic.

En esta primera temporada se trata casi que superficialmente la vida de los personajes. Cada capítulo está lleno de muchos casos médicos, que como espectador realmente agradecí, ya que nos permiten con su narración la experiencia de sentirnos realmente dentro de la sala de emergencias. Es como cuando estamos en espera en emergencia y queremos saber que pasa con cada caso de urgencias que pasa al lado de nosotros, así fue como me sentí, y no pude dejar de ver capítulo tras capítulo hasta terminar esta temporada.

Algo que nos dejaron conocer a través de flashbacks, es que el protagonista, el Dr. Robby tiene ciertos traumas con unos eventos pasados en la sala de emergencias que, como se puede apreciar hay muchos pacientes hospitalizados y él con traje especial, que es inevitable darnos cuenta que se trata de la Pandemia de Covid-19.

The medical cases presented by The Pitt are quite up-to-date, with cases such as fentanyl poisoning, students taking Xanax without a prescription, accidents due to various jobs or professions, cases or possible cases of abuse, and in chapters 12, 13, and 14, we will see the total collapse due to shootings during a concert.

Another thing that's different about The Pitt is that in this series, this hospital hasn't had any problems with resources to care for patients. We can see a wide array of tests and resources to care for each patient. However, there is a waiting room for people who want to be seen in emergencies, but most of them aren't serious emergencies, and they have to wait to be seen little by little, as the truly serious emergencies are prioritized. However, there are also people waiting to be seen who don't have or don't pay health insurance, and they are also waiting on that list, which moves very slowly.

Los casos médicos que nos presenta The Pitt, son bastante actualizados con casos como los intoxicados por fentanilo, o estudiantes que consumen Xanac sin receta médica, accidentes por diferentes oficios o profesiones, casos o posibles casos de abuso, y en el capítulo 12, 13 y 14 tendremos el colapso total por eventos de tiroteos durante un concierto.

Otra cosa diferente de The Pitt, es que en esta serie este hospital no ha presentado problemas con recursos para atender a los pacientes, podemos ver un despliegue de exámenes y medios para atender a cada paciente. Sin embargo, si existe una sala de espera donde están personas que quieren ser atendidas en emergencias, pero que en su mayoría no son casos de emergencias graves, y deben esperar a que los pasen poco a poco ya que se priorizan las emergencia realmente graves. Aunque, también hay en espera personas que no tienen o no pagan seguro médico y están igualmente en espera de ser atendidas en esa lista que pasa realmente muy lenta.

• The acting: Excellent performances, each character very believable. There are no exaggerated performances; each character has their own characteristics according to what they represent. The scenes with sophisticated equipment, maneuvers, and disasters are executed with great believability. In my opinion, this is what I liked most about The Pitt.

• The sets and photography are excellent. With each episode, we get to see beautiful spaces that look like a truly large emergency room, with equipment and materials everywhere, good lighting, everything very beautiful.

• The pacing: Although each episode this season is filled with many emergency cases, it doesn't feel repetitive or overwhelming, nor does it get boring. So much so that I had no problem watching another episode after another, eager to see new cases.

• Las actuaciones: Excelentes actuaciones, muy verosímil cada personaje. No existen actuaciones exageradas, cada personaje tiene sus propias características de acuerdo a lo que personifican. Las escenas con equipos sofisticados , maniobras y desastres, son ejecutadas con mucha credibilidad. En mi opinión, es lo que más me gustó de The Pitt.

• Los escenarios y fotografías, excelentes. Con cada capítulo llegamos a conocer espacios hermosos con apariencia de ser realmente una gran sala de emergencias, equipos y materiales en todas partes, buena iluminación, todo muy hermoso.

• El ritmo: A pesar de que esta temporada cada capítulo está lleno de muchos casos de emergencias, no se siente repetitivo o abrumador, tampoco aburre. Tanto es así que no tenía problemas en ver otro y otro capítulo con mucho interés por ver nuevos casos.

• Little character background: I'll say this just to highlight that we certainly haven't been given much insight into the characters, although perhaps only very superficial things, but enough to allow us to understand their certainties or insecurities.
  I don't really see this as a negative, since we're watching a first season and our director, John Wells, is an expert in long-running series, so I'm sure we'll be able to see the past and/or development of each character and their arc throughout each season.

• Poco fondo de los personajes: Diré esto solo por destacar que ciertamente no nos han dado a conocer mucho de los personajes, aunque si cosas muy superficiales tal vez, pero suficientes para permitirnos saber sobre las seguridades o inseguridades de ellos.
  No lo veo realmente como algo negativo, ya que estamos viendo una primera temporada y nuestro director John Wells es experto en series largas, así que estoy segura que el pasado y/o desarrollo de cada personaje y su arco, podremos verlo a lo largo de cada temporada.

I highly recommend it. If you like serious series about emergency rooms, The Pitt is an excellent choice. You'll enjoy strong acting, characters we're just getting to know, but I really liked them and want to keep getting to know them. The plots are very interesting and varied.

Tomorrow, the 10th, episode 15 of this first season will air, but we already have the good news that a second season has been confirmed. This is excellent news for those of us who have already fallen in love with The Pitt.

La Recomiendo ampliamente, si te gustan las series serias sobre salas de emergencias, The Pitt es una Excelente opción. Disfrutarás de buenas actuaciones, personajes que recién estamos conociendo pero que me gustaron mucho y que quiero seguir conociendo. Las tramas son muy interesantes y variadas.

Mañana 10 se transmitirá el capítulo 15 de esta primera Temporada, pero desde ya tenemos la buena noticia de que está confirmada la Segunda Temporada, esto es una excelente noticia para quienes ya nos enamoramos de The Pitt.
