In my point of view, I love it that each front-end has its own ecosystem, but at any point you need to figure out whats the benefit of it. Like i mentioned, for each post you get some coins or tokens or howsoever anyone is willing to name it. This is a pretty simple part, because every platform is doing pretty much the same, the worth of those tokens is on another hand.
Furthermore, like you mentioned, #palnet gives you the opportunity to work with their tokens on steem-engine (SE) or even staking it. But what is your benefit of staking it? And therefore you should find any documentation about it, otherwise why should you do it? Where is the proof of stake?
Tokens caused by a bot is pretty much the same, you can (only??) call them to give something when you reach a certain amount of there token. Like !beer (hopefully it will work) needs at least 6 BEER token staked to give you a sip of beer. But this is something you can find out. What about !invest_vote (here the same, hopefully it will work)? How much token staked do you need to call it?
Nevertheless, I love the complexity of all this, but somehow or at least at some point it would be much easier, if some other token creator would follow the example of and making it more transparent.
