I see them on screen. And I often ask myself, what is it that the affluent see in arts that they will pay a hefty amount for them and sometimes use them to avoid taxes? Netflix does no justice to answering this question. Why? This is because they do not try to clarify any of these questions in any way.

Instead, they pride themselves on recommending films that portray characters who are happy to steal the arts and resell them at a high price. I remember one film where a young man was tasked with the responsibility of drawing famous artwork so it could be swapped for an original. Don’t ask me the name of the movie because I no longer remember.
A few days ago, I watched one where a group of individuals planned and executed heists to steal art and sell it at a high rate in the black market. And of course, I did recently see one where the crazy individual steals art connected to love stories and the like. I did not complete this one so I can’t say what his mission was because he was not even selling those stolen art in any way.
I am not really sure if any of these things matter unless the human in possession of an art piece knows how to sell it. If you have been learning about the world of business long Enough, you will understand the place of selling. Selling is something a lot of people shy away from because they fear rejection. They can’t stand someone saying no to them, so they avoid the salesperson's identity.
What they fail to understand is that being able to sell, whether an art piece, a product, or an idea is a skill everyone should have. Heck, the ability to sell oneself is why most people end up in favorable situations and some don’t. Yet, people run away from learning what it means to sell and how to do it.
The chances of growing any form of business are connected to sales. You should have asked yourself why a lot of books are written on sale. It is a clear indication that selling is a basic skill anyone should have. Knowing how to sell is what keeps The Doors of so many businesses open and their lights on. Without this basic skill, they will only last for a short period and there is nothing anyone can do about their reality.
It might surprise you to know that of all the aspects of a business, the most important one an owner should be concerned about, deeply, is sales. As an owner, you can outsource and delegate a greater portion of your business to other skilled individuals, but selling is the one you have to learn, master, and use to establish control and boost your business so you may not necessarily outsource this one.
If you are a movie freak or someone interested in watching business films, you will notice owners are always in one business meeting or the other. Even scammers use the business meeting ideal to scam their victims. Why? During such meetings, owners get the chance to pitch and sell their business to a potential investor. Through business meetings, one can look an investor eyeball to eyeball, dig into their souls, and get them to give away a part of their money to keep the business up and running.
Sales and marketing are what bring the revenue that you so desire and this can’t be said enough. Did you ever stop to think why Mark Zuckerberg decided to create a space where people connect and then turn them into the algorithm that brings revenue on a daily basis to his company? It is a typical example of how powerful sales are.
Businesses understand this, this is why advertising has always felt like an industry that requires the most unique, and talented individuals to penetrate. That is because getting a rational person to part with their hard-earned money needs a kind of persuasion that those who have mastered selling through the study of psychology can achieve. These folks could be seen as gods because on TV, radio, and your social media feed, they are able to make you stop in your tracks and make a purchase.
With the rise of algorithms and data selling, your devices monitor everything including your thoughts. Thus, fetching you a good number of products to feed your consumerism spirit and you can’t dare say no.
It does not matter what it is that you do, learning and improving your marketing skills will differentiate you from the crowd, and the sooner you do this, the sooner the profit-generating hormones will function in your business.
