Among various blockchains and what they have to offer, HIVE attracted me the most, because it balances freedom with the community governance. In other words, you can post and do pretty much anything, but the public has the power to downvote if what you do is genuinely bad or harmful, and as far as I know if you were a whale it won't automatically make you a privileged one in a social sense. Yes, a whale can influence the payout and maybe visibility more than the others, but the social and technical mechanisms don't allow them to take the absolute control. The witnesses system is nice too, and the way everything in the HIVE is organized the votes for witnesses are truly democratic, as it appears difficult to auto-vote anyone, because it would be obvious more than anything else
