”Blackbirds tend to like shiny things.” ~ The Bloody Raven
Why do I buy Pirate themed silver? Some of my reasons.
While there is nothing wrong with Vanilla style Stacking to maximize one’s investment position, it can get a bit dull. Just imagine if I were post exclusively on Canadian Maple Leaf silver and Generic silver bars. There would not be much to talk about. Its like buying just Bitcoin while ignoring other more exciting alternative coins in the market.
Another reason is that I feel I have already reached a sufficient level of accumulation such that I can afford to shift more to collecting so long as it adds to my overall position while adding the FUN element despite the FUN Premium. Mind you, I do have a predetermined budget of my cash savings to pursue this apart from my annual core Stacking of precious metals and cryptos.
Today’s Pirate Sunday treat
With a lot of my free time taken up on Hive I tend to miss out on a lot of wicked custom silver on Instagram. One of those misses is this original 1oz Pirate round by Hayleybug Art Pours. But Nyssacat373 didn’t miss it. Was he thinking of me when it came out six months ago?
Since this design, and their acquisition of a 200-ton press, Hayleybug has added the 2 oz and 5 oz Poured chunky round versions to the product line for those who prefer more Stackage for the bloody fiat.
A fine design of the trademark Jolly.
A classic Tricorn hat fashionably attires a wicked grinning Skull before a pair of naval Cutlasses. The rope circle could represent Eternal, or the Pirate’s bond to his shipmates. And their Motto, “THINK LIKE A CAPTAIN, ACT LIKE A PIRATE” I can leave to your interpretation.
And for our Second feature
Spooky Gothic silver… I just love it!
Another fine UK Silver Pouring artist with a ‘whit of memes’ is as sharp like a cutlass as in the products he crafts. Creating this skull with glow in the dark eyes will make this fit well into both Pirate and Gothic themed silver stacking. The only skull that can top this is the laser eyed skull that I have yet to see with my unpatched eye!
I believe this skull was originally done as a Petro-bond cast; a method suitable for small pouring projects while preserving reasonably fine detail.
Aye, but does it glow?
Dialing up the ISO setting of my smartphone to 800, Overcast light setting and turning off my desk lamp.
These two fine pieces will be happily cherished and added to one of my personal treasure chests.
My deepest thank you once again to Captain Nyssacat373 for these Seaworthy treasures! 🤗 💖 💋
Always spicing things up, what kind of coin do you have in your Stack lately?
