I’d like to clarify that in that part of the post I wasn’t proposing to change or replace the “Krampus Coefficient” itself, nor suggesting that you personally had that intention, but rather reflecting on its name and the meaning we attribute to the title of a metric. My aim was to explore how a name can shape our perception of an indicator, not to suggest modifications to the coefficient’s formula or its applicability.
I deeply understand and value your concern about the historical and social background you mention—especially given the legacy of oppression you point out—and I agree that Hive should be a space free of unjust power dynamics. I also share your view that this metric should be used as part of a suite of tools and not punitively.
