Aggroed just put out a post:
@aggroed/hiveusdt-diesel-pool-has-been-created
about a new HIVE-USDT pool on Tribaldex!
Check this out:
https://tribaldex.com/dieselpools/pools
The pool is a SWAP.HIVE:SWAP.USDT pool. This pool is on Hive, which means that both the SWAP.HIVE and SWAP.USDT tokens are Hive-Engine (or should we say Tribal) tokens on Hive. They are pegged to HIVE and USDT. The peg between SWAP.HIVE and HIVE is usually quite tight. But I don't know about SWAP.USDT. I've followed SWAP.BTC and it seems to deviate from the prive of BTC quite a lot from time to time.
Right now, SWAP.HIVE seems to be trading at 0.567 SWAP.USDT while the price of HIVE itself is 0.503 USD.
It pays to keep close attention to the exchange rate in the future. The ability to park value in SWAP.USDT without exchanging any tokens on Hive for any token outside the platform is potentially very valuable.
The extremely thin liquidity is a concern, though. But I'm left wondering what kinds of rewards liquidity providers will get. I'm also wondering which version of USDT is used as collateral. The one on Ethereum or the one on the Bitcoin Omni-layer?
