Minus the fondling of a woman, this was me. Well, there was no medal either... or champagne. It's been Five eighty-four years, lol. Basically, I was euphoric yesterday. As much as I couldn't care less about the whole numbers and all, I think this is a great benchmark to actually look back in retrospect at what has been and look forward in the optimism of what will.
It was noon on November 23, 2017. The sun was scorching like a m@#%%$#&*. I was sitting in the house wondering what I was going to eat at the time when a call came in from a friend of mine,
of blessed memory. He was telling me about this platform called Steemit where I could actually post my smartphone photography and earn rewards for my work. I had just started the whole photography thing then and this was a massive info for me. The rest they say is history. This is my fifth year on the blockchain and during this time I have made over eight hundred posts, over eight thousand comments, and earned over four thousand $hive in rewards (Life happened/is happening so I powered down some). This is data garnered from
. That might seem minute to you but it's something of pride for me. I remember some days four years ago when I'd get back from studying in school and next up, I am making a post. I have fifty-one $Leo staked and eight $Leo liquid. I was unable to participate in the last Leo power-up day due to some reasons, hopefully, I'd jump on it in the next one.
I am not really that big on setting targets. Don't get me wrong, I am not irresponsible (well, maybe a little), I just don't like any form of restriction but I do understand how important and helpful targets are, so I will set out some now, albeit flexible ones.
Before the year ends
- I will try to achieve 5000 hive power
- I will try to get 500-1000 Leo power
- I will stake more hive engine tokens
- Anything else that comes to mind and sounds attainable.
Well, there you have it. They don't look too difficult I reckon. I aim to meet these targets SO help me God. :) Thanks again for reading this gibberish. Just like the Brazilian Olympic bronze medalist swimmer, I am gonna wreck the house for this one.
