Laughter and cheers echoed the whole restaurant as we sat and talk there cheerfully. Nothing has changed. We were still the same as six years ago.
Hi everyone! 🤗
Last weekend was one of the most unforgettable and the noisest weekends I have had. After so many cycles of "attempt-plan-cancel" of getting together with my friends, finally, after 6 years, it is happening!
As the famous advice for making friends goes ""Surround yourself with beautiful people".", I am one of the luckiest because I have these crazy beautiful people in my life - my "through thick and thin" friends.
But to be honest, we sometimes ask ourselves "are we really best friends?" because we only meet once in a blue moon. Haha! We always answer that question with a loud laugh. Crazy. Our hearts knew the answer already.
It was one miracle that finally my friends and I agreed to meet last Saturday. We have so many failed attempts and canceled plans to see each other due to conflicts in our schedules. However, we didn't miss any chances to check each other on Facebook and Messenger.
All of us are already working professionals from Mondays to Fridays, and each of us has a family on our own. Imagine the last time we met each other. We were single, a little wild, free, aggressive, and very eager to reach our dreams and achieve our "I want to be's", and look at us now, we are all parents and are successful in our careers.
For this spontaneous meeting of ours, at the last minute, we decided to eat at a restaurant. We choose " Samgyupsarap" restaurant that serves unlimited Samgyeopsal for only 300peso per head. Located in the heart of the city, there's nothing much fancy in the restaurant but we liked it because it's open air. It has a refreshing and relaxing ambiance on its own.
Thankfully, when we went there, there were no other customers so it seems like we rented the whole place just for us. Bongga! Moreover, it's not just us who enjoyed the space, our kids enjoyed it even more! They were happily running and roaming around.
While we were being served the meat and other food, we were busy having our unlimited chit-chats too! We were talking endlessly that the whole night wouldn't be enough. We were laughing our hearts out!.
We talked about what have had happened to our lives for the past 6 years, our experiences at work, our families, and our plans. Yes, six years is long but it feels like we had just talked the other day!
I would say I have the best circle of friends. We don't do "Chika" in other people's lives, instead, we exchange plans, ideas, and suggestions on how to have more financial freedom because it's the 'friendship's dream' to improve each of our life statuses.
When it comes to our kids, we exchange experiences, advice, and proven methods on how to best take care of our babies and how to train our babies at a young age to be smart in life. Yes, we talked about that!
It just feels so good and overwhelming that I have this group of people.
So, while my friends are busy cooking, I took the time to excuse myself and take a look at the whole restaurant. The restaurant is small and simple. It is good for the family. Its black color and lightning added good vibes and ambiance to it.
The restaurant is located on the rooftop of one of the buildings in the city, so when you look around, all you see are the roofs of the other building. Good thing it's open-air and clean.
FOOD, FOOD FOOD!
SAMGYEOP TIME"!
To begin with an honest review, this samgyeopsal in the city is not as great and scrumptious as compared to the samgyeops in the big city. This Korean food was only introduced to the locals in my place during this Pandemic. Nevertheless, one can still taste the Korean cuisine flavor in the food.
After minutes of grilling the meat, and when all ingredients we're ready, we ingest the food right away! The thin meat plus the fresh lettuce, the delicious spicy kimchi, and the flavorful sauce is mouth-watering.!
We enjoyed the night so much. What good food and good company!
It was late when we departed. We were all happy and full. We are blessed to have such amazing friends. We parted ways with no promises made about when will we see each other again, deep in our hearts we know that we will meet again soon and bond with each other again.
Indeed it's true, good friends are like stars, you don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
What a wonderful weekend we had!
How about you, do you have this kind of friend too?
