Hi dear Hivers
Yesterday, Brazilians celebrated Father's Day
I'm still not used to the fact that some dates in Brazil are not the same as in Venezuela, I already celebrated my dad twice in a year (but hey, it should be every day).
On Saturday I was invited to commemorate Father's Day (which would be Sunday) to hang out, it seems that Hortencia's parents like me.
Oh, and if you didn't know this is Hortencia, we studied together at the university and lately she's been very good company. We plan to set up a beauty studio when we graduate, who knows.
Breakfast was great, worthy of a banquet. There were scrambled eggs with shredded meat, "pão de queijo", "beiju" and what cannot be missing from the famous "café da manhã": coffee
They gave Hortencia's father a gift of a shirt from his favorite Brazilian team, flamenco (no, it doesn't have a flamingo in the logo, disappointing).
After that, we all came to the conclusion that Sunday needed a beach getaway.
I thought this custom was only in Venezuela.
We didn't spend a lot of time on the beach, but it was a good experience. We went to Litorânea beach, and since it was Father's Day it was quite crowded.
Hortensia's mother introduces me to her acquaintances as her other adopted daughter, it feels nice to be loved.
