Around this time last year, i joined my first fun run with my office mates. I occasionally go for a walk and sometimes jog during my free time but i can not say that i have an active lifestyle because most of the time I'm in my desk working or laying down like a couch potato. Hahaha.
Most of us joined the 8 kilometer run since its our first fun run for the majority of us. The shortest is 1 kilometer but we thought that its too short so we chose a pretty decent kilometer. Our manager, who's a runner, opted to go for 20 kilometer which he proudly finished too.
I arrived at around 4am in the morning. The streets were still very empty upon going to the venue and it was still dark everywhere. I searched for my colleagues in the starting line and stretched a little before the gun shots signifying the start of the run.
I remember only having dark brewed coffee and 2 slices of wheat bread for breakfast that morning because i don't want to feel full but also not hungry during the run.
Halfway thru, i can feel my feet aching so i decided to walk for a while but I told myself that no matter what, i should not stop moving. I am so thankful for my friends for encouraging me to finish the marathon. While some of them weren't able to resist the temptation to grab a taxi going to the finish line hahaha.
After the marathon, we were all very hungry so we decided to eat our hearts out. We went to a restaurant that serves grilled fish and pork. Unfortunately, wasn't able to take a lot of pictures in the restaurant.
I went home feeling so tired but at the same time feeling so accomplished. I washed up and went back to sleep.
This November, I'm joining a marathon again, which I'm so excited about. I cant wait to share it with you guys soon.
