Last Saturday, my family and I went to the Saturday Night Market Street Fair in Bandar Kim Fung, Mile 4, Sandakan. Street food is defined as prepared food or drink sold by a hawker, or seller, on the street or in another public setting, such as a market or fair.
It is frequently offered for instant consumption from a mobile food booth, food cart, or food truck. While many street cuisines have expanded outside of their original region, some are localized in nature.
The majority of street foods fall under the categories of finger food and fast food, and are typically less expensive than restaurant meals. I've read that every day, about 2.5 billion people eat food from the streets.
Today, consumers buy street food for a variety of reasons, including nostalgia, the desire to sample new ethnic foods, and the desire to receive savoury food at an affordable price in a social atmosphere.
The world's best food is made by your mum. We are aware of that. But if you ever want to eat a dish that isn't your mother's, and would never be better, then this is the ideal solution for you.
Here are a few pictures I took there during my visit. The children were running around since it was so packed. Moving more quickly is somewhat difficult.
My brother purchased something else for him and his wife while we purchased local pancakes, or Terang Bulan, for our snack. My mother and I were just wandering around and not feeling the urge to buy anything. Nothing aggravates our needs and sight.
We paused shortly after to see the band perform. You might also call it a busking band. Our local talent, who went by the name of the Razz Busker, provided that evening's best entertainment.
As it was predicted to rain, we must move to the car. We hasten back to our car as it has begun to lightly sprinkle. That's how my family and I spent our Saturday night. We cannot stop nature, so we should not be too disappointed with the weather.
