Yamba parkrun on the Clarence River. Northern rivers region in New South Wales is a great spot for a weekend away with lots of great beaches and walks.
Whalan Reserve parkrun was west of Sydney on an old go cart track. They thought I was a bit weird as I did the course twice to make it a 10km run. I beat the tail walker home on my second lap but it only counts for one stat.
Robelle Domain parkrun west of Brisbane. We were there for there 3rd event. A net downhill course all on concrete path so I had the fast shoes out going for a quick time.
I walked Newy parkrun in Newcastle in New South Wales as my ankle was playing up. This parkrun get pretty busy with over 500 runners and walkers each week.
At Scribbly gums conservation reserve parkrun I was a car park marshal and then a running marshal. The event director was worried about a large crowd showing up and people getting lost so he wanted a few extra experienced people on had to help out for the first few weeks, Luckily everything went well at this small trail venue.
Mt Penang parkrun was the first leg of a holiday. A bit of a convoluted course but we had some great weather on the New South Wales Central coast.
Western Springs was our First International parkrun in Auckland, New Zealand. We were lucky enough the meet Mr Strava2hive and he even gave us a lift to and from our hotel.
Queenstown parkrun on the South Island of New Zealand is probably the prettiest event we have ever done. The trees and Lake just make it wonderful.
Albert Melbourne parkrun is one of the busiest in Australia and was the first event in Victoria. Two laps of the Albert park lake helped bump up my I index. I would like to get my I index to 10, that is the first 10 parkrun in Australia, its not an easy challenge as they are all over this big country.
We had new years eve at Walcha parkrun in 2022. A small country New South Wales town that holds the title of being the highest parkrun in Australia.

parkrun is a not for profit community event held every weekend. It started in England and has now spread to over 20 countries world wide. If there is not one near you, I would have a look at helping start one so I can come and visit you.
