Holy Week is a significant week to remember the sacrifices and the redemption that the Lord has done for us. Also, this week is not just for reflection in the death of Jesus Christ but also a way to rest and spend time with family.
In my holy week, we did not go anywhere for the beach or relaxation. We stayed at home, prayed and spent time with my family and friends.
Maundy Thursday
On this day, me and my mom went to Tabor Hills in Talamban, Cebu to pray the stations of the cross. From our house, it took us 1 hour to arrive on the place riding jeepney and motorcycle.
These are the photos that I was able to take in the place.
There is no entrance here but donations are highly appreciated.
Holy Friday
We did not eat meat and only cooked carbonara (white spaghetti) as our lunch and dinner. In the evening, my aunt came into our house and she treated us with grilled fish which I was the one who cooked.
We were supposed to attend a procession, but since we became busy in the arrival of my aunt, I was only able to reflect on my own by reading the bible and doing my routine.
Black Saturday
At this time, we woke up early with my mom and went for a jog. I was happy I was able to complete my 5k run this time and ticked my third bucket list for the year.
We went to Mcdonald's after as a treat for myself and my mom.
In the evening, we celebrated the birthday of my friend and was awake until morning. That lead me to wake up very late and was not able to go to church for the day the Lord has risen.
Although I thought was very idle these days, I am very grateful that I used these days as a way to rest and just reflect on everything that is happening in my life.
Thank you very much for listening and may you have a great day!
