A long way, indeed. I started buying pre-MJ cards that potentially could fit the upcoming MJ Anubians (potentially strong) 12 days before the MJ release and, then, I immersed in the universe of Anubians in PTR, and even created a Youtube channel that time 😄

I would say the shopping was great. I bought everything cheap (and, for that, sold legendary War cards not knowing how they would be down soon ☘️). If not that, I couldn't afford playing my advanced budget Heirloom deck.
For example:
Today:
The sudden nerf a day or two before the previous WR was a disappointment for me. Honestly, I was just emotionally ruined.

I couldn't find the way to play nerfed Anubians efficiently and I had no time, no energy, and no Land of the Dead. I couldn't compete even in Ethereal Diamond and deranked from Solar to Auric for getting better WR rewards. That time, I noticed on Gudecks.Com that people were combining Anubians with Nethers and getting good results. And I decided to stop feeling a beggar and spent some ETH for 2 Land of the Dead. The things got enhanced even more when I added zombies instead of 2 Skull Scepters.

I replaced Skull Scepters with Necroscepters because the last help to control the board and cure the god. But, then, I discovered that new Nature echo relic removal, Sword Breaker Sage, became common and Deception guys regularly robbed me with Counterfeit so I switched to Cursed Obelisks.
I have also chosen, after testing this and that, having 6 removals:
- 2 Blight bombs
- 2 Curses of Greed
- 2 Bifurcating Curses
And I believe that was a nice choice. 2 Bifurcating Curses helped me this WR much.
Time for Bifurcating Curse
Priestesses of Takhat and Raving Necromancers, as you probably already know, are must-haves for a Heirloom deck:
Scorched Seekers and Malissian Magistrates were stars as well.
One of the best things about Malissian Magistrate: when you can have 5/5 Triage Necromancer back from the void
I chose 2 Vrocks but there are card-draw alternatives:
The best choice, Untold Greed, costs as much as the whole deck of mine does.
A Mistake
After playing 25 games, I believe the deck is quite fine except one point: it absolutely misses damn Vile Reaver. When I realized this, the price for two of them was almost 0.001 ETH. I had no 0.001 ETH and decided to finish WR without trading and bustling.
Why having 2 Vile Reavers is important isn't obvious from the first look: when you choose Vile Reaver by Mulligan, you not only get a quick way to clean the board thanks to Reaver's blitz, but you also make your void more reactive so the whole summon-from-the-void system of yours becomes much stronger from the point of control of the board.
Taking into account that I already have 2 Vrocks, I would include Vile Reavers instead of Catacomb Curators probably. And I will later.
Playing Experience
| Domain | I won | I lost |
|---|---|---|
| Death | 3 | 3 |
| Nature | 5 | 4 |
| Magic | 4 | 0 |
| Light | 2 | 0 |
| Deception | 1 | 3 |
| War | 0 | 0 |
Probably, this is good news that I wasn't worse than my fellow Death players. 5 were Anubians and 1 was a zombie guy that showed 54.5% wins with a budget 0.006 ETH zombie deck - this. This is a about whether zombie decks can survive in Mythic on WR - they can. But Anubians are stronger.
Deception has showed great power (and a bit of luck), and this is what I am going to collect alongside with Death cards, by means of reward packs, no buys this time... Except 2 Armory Heist, I just couldn't stop myself, a dream-comes-true Deception card.
Magic was a perfect victim for my Anubians 😀
Nature with much regeneration resembles Heirloom Death in some way - they get stats back and a lot. But when you play Anubians, you, first, must fill the void. Regen Nature needs to fill nothing, it works from the very beginning.
Pictures of the Day
Hidden Whisper Baron was insanely buffed during the turn. I removed it next turn but it was too late.
I am out of cards, another Deception player. One of the reasons I lost that time is in the next screenshot:
Stealing Priestess of Takhat with Umber Arrow for 1 turn can mean that you won't have Priestess of Takhat in your void. That can be crucial sometimes.
Look at the creatures on the Deception side ... 😞 Damn thieves... 😀
Ok, good stories now. A turn before that screenshot, there was only one Stormstress on the board so I decided to wait a turn if something else appears for my Bifurcating Curse. I was right - the second Stormstress emerged. It was pleasure 😀
Blood Ritual in all cases except Magic. As I believe, Soul Burn was a key reason of why I won all games against Magic.
Skull Scepter is amazing but zombie support is sometimes better. I didn't use Skull Scepter this WR but Cursed Obelisks instead.
Helian Elite after meeting with Land of the Dead. Priestess of Takhat is killing the opponent's god.
City Planner and his walls before removal by Bifurcating Curse.
Glad
15/25 is not the most brilliant result considering that Heirloom Death is the dominant power currently. But ... at the same time, it was a long way to collect all these cards... And research and again research... And finally, I am going to have a MJ leg for these efforts. Losing money because of prices for MJ cards going down? I don't mention it 😀 I am more focused on a legendary card I will have. Hope something from this list:
