Today I wanted to appreciate the breadth of content available to us here on Hive
Holes of Importance
One of my favorite aspects of the Hive blockchain compared to many other areas of the internet, especially the mainstream platforms, is that you get the opportunity to be exposed to all kinds of different content! Typically people are thinking of things like crypto news but for me, I do appreciate that type of content but every so often you find some deep content that really challenges you and makes you think of things that you likely may not have otherwise.
I've got a few people that I follow that are prime on the list for me to go over and take a look and see what they've got going on for content. There are certainly days where I read it and take it with quite a few grains of salt however just being exposed to a perspective that challenges my own I think is an important aspect of being an adult and especially these days. We are so often intentionally pointed in one direction or another, and tried to be kept in a walled off area so that we aren't exposed to alternate opinions and forms of content which is definitely a shame but a product of the controllers of the world at various levels. When we all can connect and come to an understanding, despite having different views on topics and subjects, it's so much better for us as a whole and humanity overall. This is of course the antithesis to the ideology that is meant to keep people fighting and arguing with each other because that is far easier to control than it is to fight us if we are united in a common cause that is beneficial to us.
I recently went down a few rabbit holes and man was it a wild ride! I go down these every so often and find them incredibly helpful and valuable because it exposes me to things that I had no idea existed, and some topics I can certainly look at tangentially and determine that it wasn't bad to have at least read it but it wasn't going to be something that adjusts my core beliefs. That's totally fine! When we are able to think critically and subjectively so that we can review information and see what it does to our core beliefs, it can bounce off them, absorb into them, alter them slightly or alter them radically depending on what we are doing and where we're at mentally and at the time in our lives. It sometimes only takes one moment of clarity to radically change our lives!
I started on one post, it was this post that started me down the rabbit hole. I'm a sucker for a good title! Lol. Then I moved onto a few more and before I knew it, an hour went by before I got back to what I was originally there to do, to start to write a post! It was a lot of fun because it widens our perspectives and challenges us to think differently. Simply thinking differently on something can have profound benefits for us in my opinion. I then moved onto this post which is quite a different subset of information but equally as challenging for the mind to grasp on many different levels.
Not all of the information I am reading on these various posts are things that I would take as gospel however it is being able to look at the surface of something that someone has presented and see if I find it interesting. It then gives me chances to go down different directions. For example I am going to do a bunch more digging into the Thunderbolts Project as that is a whole different subset of science that seems to be inspired by the works of Tesla. Knowing how brilliant Tesla was and how he was vilified because he challenged the current power (pun intended :D) structure is enough for me to see what I can discern going down that direction to figure out what I think of the topic. I may end up thinking it's a load of shit and not think much of it again but it's always the chance that it could be a profound modification and open up other avenues.
I should have my rabbit hole craving sated for a little while with these latest discoveries! Hopefully I can learn a thing or two from them, as it's always important to be learning!
