Do you read manwha (Korean comics)? Probably, you are familiar or have come across with the manwha, The Beginning After the End. When it comes to popularity, Western and Japanese (manga) would take the crown but through out the years, manwha has also risen into popularity.
Two weeks ago, the character presented on ArtPark's DTIYS was Arthur Leywin of The Beginning After The End. This was the second character from a manwha on the DTIYS. The first one we did was Sung Jin-Woo of Solo Leveling.

Arthur Leywin
Since I don't read manwha, I am not famiiar with this character at all. And due to the little time I have, these are the only information I knew about the character:
Arthur Leywin was a king in his former life and got incarnated into a boy. He also seems to have a pet cat, probably his sidekick?
The funny thing is that I thought Arthur was an adult teenager so I drew him this way. It was only later when I knew he's on his early teenage years, around thirteen I guess? Lol.
I promise, my goal here was to draw Arthur Leywin smiling with his eyes squinting but it turned out different. He turned out looking like a villain grinning and have this womanizer aura. Lol. I would like to apologize to all the Arthur Leywin fans who would ever see my artwork.
My first concept was to draw Arthur holding his crown on his chest but I found it quite difficult to draw (still not good with anatomy) so I settled for this artwork you see right now. I also added the cat on his shoulder as I've seen it on a couple of images I saw on Google when I looked for reference photos.
Drawing Process
I tried to experiment for this drawing and didn't blend much of the colors, particularly on his clothes to have the sloppy paint effect. Not sure if that's the exact way to call it, but you know the kind of art where you just brush or layer the colors without blending it? That's what I'm trying to achieve. Though I just did it on the clothes.
Then for the background, I used a gouache brush in white color and randomly brush around. And for the final touch, I overlayed an oil paint texture and lowered the opacity to around 12%.
Here's my timelapse video of drawing Arthur Leywin. My channel is open for subscribers, feel free to subscribe. Lol.
