How it got started I'm not completely sure, but today's daily CWH Crew started bouncing joke ideas off one another. In the first five minutes we saw improv comedy come alive before our eyes. Before we could begin the work of the hour, a dozen jokes came in quick succession via ,
,
, and @hillarythecadwitch. No joke! A slew of "three of the CWH Crew walk into a bar...," jokes, one after another after another had us all laughing big noisy laughs. Ahhh. You had to have been there (LOL, see what I did there? π).
Can you imagine me trying to start a breathing exercise for flow and focus in the midst of such chaos?! It was so great! I consider myself the luckiest founder on Hive that every day I get to spend a few hours of my time with this talented troupe. But, just like that all was quiet and we began the customary pre-flow three rounds of breaths. Here is what it was like. Try following along as you read the next couple of paragraphs if you could use a bit of calm, flow, or focus yourself.
The mini-meditation today is about meditating with eyes open, inspired by driving to a local coffee shop during CWH for a morning work session for his prezi slides he is giving at a gaming conference next week.
"Breathing in with our eyes open, we notice the colors in our environment, the neutral ones, the greens, the blues, the reds, and the yellows. Breathing out, we recognize ourselves as part of the beauty of nature. Now, breathe in again. And again, notice the colors. Breathe out slowly, but this time adding a sense of your contentment to what you see, as if you are dusting your surroundings with it. In the third and last breath in, notice what's new to you. Note how the colors are richer and how they appear more complex. As you release the breath note the details of texture on view in the scene.
Return to your regular breathing and enhance its quality by identifying something you observed or experienced during this simple little exercise that makes you grateful.
Much love!
