The beautiful circle of life. The abundance of natural beauty. I'm not tired of seeing this linger.
Have you ever tried arranging edible flowers into a beautiful repetitive form?
This is the first time I have my own supply of edible flowers straight from my garden.
I am very grateful to know so many great food bloggers at HIVE that I often see edible flowers including Butterfly Pea Flowers. That's why a few months ago I decided to plant my own Butterfly Pea Plant in my garden starting from seeds.
In the area I live, I don't know any edible flowers including Butterfly Pea Flowers. Even if the people here drink herbal flower tea, most of us buy ready-to-drink products, for example from rosella flowers.
So Butterfly Pea Flowers is a new thing here and I'm glad I'm the first to have Butterfly Pea Flowers in stock in my hometown :)
Now I can harvest Butterfly Pea Flowers. More and more flowers days. I collect them to make tea and food coloring.
This is today's crop. Some are still in full bloom and some are dry. For those that are still in full bloom like this, we can dry them by leaving them.
I set Butterfly Pea Flowers on a plate. This activity is really fun for me, it feels like therapy. With patience, arrange each flower one by one so that the shape becomes neat, orderly, and not messy.
I harvested Butterfly Pea Flowers in the morning at 9 am. Below I share a portrait when I have left Butterfly Pea Flowers at room temperature all day on the kitchen table. You can see that the size of the Butterfly Pea Flowers has shrunk but still not completely dry.
It's really fun enjoying the abundance of natural beauty like this.
