Carnivorous plants: Drosera helodes 'Bullbrook' form

Circa 4-5 mesi fa ho deciso di ingrandire quella che era la mia coltivazione di Drosere pigmee acquistando numerose gemme di specie diverse.

In poco tempo queste piante hanno catturato la mia attenzione per 2 cose: le dimensioni ridotte mi permetto di poter avere più specie possibili in poco spazio e seconda cosa le fioriture a parer mio non hanno eguali in tutto il settore carnivoro.

About 4/5 months ago I decided to enlarge what my cultivation of Drosere pygmies was by purchasing numerous buds of different species.

In a short time these plants caught my attention for 2 things: the small size allows me to have as many species as possible in a small space and secondly the blooms in my opinion are unmatched in the whole carnivorous sector.

A primo impatto può sembrare un classico fiore rosa, ma non è proprio cosi, colori, forme, grandezze, sono tutti caratteri assai diversi nelle fioriture delle pigmee.

At first glance it may look like a classic pink flower, but it is not quite so, colors, shapes, sizes, are all very different characters in the blooms of the pygmies.

Questa è stata la prima a fiorire, dopo pochi mesi sono già in grado di riprodursi.
I tricomi, semi alternati lunghi e corti, hanno un colore piuttosto chiaro donando un velo quasi bianco su tutta la superficie.

Generalmente sono di colore più verdino ma la forte esposizione solare che gli sto dando le sta facendo virare sul rossiccio.

This was the first to bloom, after a few months they are already able to reproduce.
The trichomes, alternating long and short seeds, have a rather light color giving an almost white veil over the entire surface.

Generally they are more greenish in color but the strong sun exposure that I am giving them is making them turn red.
