I went shopping for a few items of food at a local hypermarket today. I needed simple things like two carts of skim milk and one cart of whole milk, which we drink very little in this country. I also needed eggs and unflavored yogurt for baking.
The problem is I don't frequent this particular store and I had to walk quite a while to locate every item. It gets worse when I'm sent shopping for very specific items when my wife is baking.
It doesn't help that the place is quite large.
For example, the eggs were here right next to the fruits and vegetables department but almost completely behind a large and tall shelf and outside of the half of the store where all the groceries were.
Their smartphone app is being developed to help customers find particular items when shopping. One of their stated goals is to put a stop to time wasted searching for products.
