Kinda going viral?
Two years ago, I wrote about and shared a macro clip of the eye of . You can read about it here. The video, well, all my videos don't get that much traction or engagement but is kind of interesting to see that one of my clips is booming. All my other clips won't reach above 50-70 views in total.
While I'm uncertain what made this boom, the interesting part is, is that I received a request from Tommaso Farinetti, a Piano Composer just a bit before the boom. He asked if he could buy a license to use the clip for a video clip for one of his compositions. I thought: sure, why not (and thank you for asking in the first place, I've been plagiarized so many times, it's nice to see someone taking the time to ask and offers something in return).
I lost count of how many times I told Lackofcolor that her eye is becoming famous. License: your eye is becoming famous. 1000 views: your eye is becoming famous. 2000 views, 5000 views, 10,000 views... Your eye is becoming famous .
So, I've been monitoring the view count and trying to figure out how this happened. It is all thanks to YouTube's algorithm and this clip was lucky enough to be clicked upon a few times to trigger a chain reaction.
