When it comes to my birthday, for some reason I don't get all excited or pumped but it us a significant day for me anyways. A day to reflect on the choices I have made, things I have done etc. The point is, birthdays are opportunities, its just left to you on how to use this opportunities. Take nothing away though, you should celebrate and make merry. On today's episode of "Stevenson Photography", I took photos of a lady on her thirteenth birthday and it was an amazing feel. I celebrated with her and her family and as it turns out, everyone liked the photos as much as I did. Lets see them the.
THE PHOTO PROCESS
I got a call from my sister about someone celebrating their birthday today and I should come over to take photos of them. When it comes to photography, nothing excites me more, okay maybe soccer too, haha. Anyways, I took my camera, wiped and set out. I got to the park intended for the shoot and it was a bit of a damp squib. Nonetheless, we improvised, found a spot and began. I asked her, "do you know my job"? She said "you are a photographer", I said "that works but basically, I want to help you store memories of this day so you can look back and smile", she giggled.

I guess you can see why I said the thing about "memories" earlier. It was the beautiful smile. Nothing beautifies a picture than a smile. We started off with portraits and it was as desired. You might also notice the bit of red flowers behind her. I wanted that as decor.

I am guessing you have a lot of questions or whatever running through your mind now but its quite simple. She had multiple dress and I really love how the grass looks. I was thinking of an ariel shot but I decided to go with this as it with require much elevation from me to get the shot I have in mind.

I was required to take a full photo of her so voila. You might notice a little crop on the shoes, I really had a little problem adjusting my focal length, I guess I could have just moved back, Lol.
I took a couple of other photos. I took variants of similar positions and also a sort of portrait-and-full photo. The ones above are the ones I love, not sure if they are the best.
POST-PROCESS
This part of my job really excites me too. I really like everything been natural. I try not to make it overly perfect, makes it seem fake in my opinion. I like to keep the pimples, scars, etc. because they tell a story on their own, Unless instructed to keep heal them do I take them off, of course. I added vignette to the first and second photo because I love vignette. Increased thr clarity and sharpness. Bumped up the saturation a bit. There's also this option called "split tone". Its something you can try it, its amazing. I guess that's all.
