Time to finish some unfinished work
I think I may have shown this one in another post, and it has been untouched since honestly. You can see it even caught a bit of dust, as I was in the middle of moving and a few of these wooden rounds have been on my old desk catching instead of me finishing them.
This morning I felt like unpacking all my paint and the first thing I did (after a cup of coffee lol) was finish this wooden round with dots.
The process
I took as many pictures as possible, but sometimes I get caught up in the moment and forget to capture a step, I bet other creative people know exactly what I mean with that.
In the first four steps, you can see the collected dust, unfortunately. But it's rough wood and not polished so I could not do much about it (I think) but cover it up with paint. You can also see that the first round of pink big flowers is a bit damaged at some spots, which I tried to fix in the four last steps. It still amazes me how different these artworks look comparing each step. One round of dots in a single color can bring a different feel to the work every single time.
I noticed in these last pictures, that I should not take the pictures on the wooden table in the future. It's a shame as the colors don't seem as vibrant as they are in real life looking at the work. Next time I will use a white paper for the steps.
I think it looks quite flower power-ish with these colors, so I decided to name it after that.
Finished!
It took me about one to one and a half hour to finish this one today, and this is the end result:
I like the unusual color set that I used but I really hope my dotting toolset will arrive finally as it's still underway and the only decent tool I have it the one dotting tool that has 2 sizes of dots and that's it. I can't wait for the bigger tools to arrive.
I hope you like it, see you next time!
