MIXED FEELINGS

My entry for the #portraitcontest.

I themed this piece Mixed feelings because of the experience not too recent ago.

I do not own a personal camera of my own and my PC was taken just few weeks into the pandemic when the world was on standby. Crime rates increased in the southwestern part of Nigeria and on one of those days we were raided by the One million boys and my laptop was taken alongside other valuables.

A friend stopped by my home and her face encouraged me to do piece with her face.

Photography has been the only source of fun, livelihood and creativeness that I do not see me doing anything else. Luckily for me I Smartphone wasn't with me as at the time of the raid, it was faulty and I had dropped it at the repairer's place. Now that's the only companion that I own.

I love the fact that Hive has made me look inward to see that my smartphone can do more than just burn call cards.

I am enjoying my smartphone as how it gives me Amazing images and the time to actually utilize its potentials.

However, I miss my PC with the days of graphics design and holding a professional camera of any sort whether The canon DSLRs or leica.

I have Mixed feelings, my misfortune has come with a blessing.

Do I cry?
Do I cry not?

Consequently for the remaining days of this week's contest I'll release each different shot per day.
