I'm starting to get used to these very hot days. I'm settling into a rhythm of getting the most important work done before the thermometer rises too much. And then saving all the easier, less important things for the middle of the day and into the afternoon. Actually, let's be honest: by the time 2pm rolls around I've given up on anything productive and I've switched to studying by listening something that interests me while I play games in the background.
Mr B has been taking some days off work so it's been different having him home and doing stuff around the house, around me. I'll get used to it soon enough, and then he'll go back to work (after New Year's probably) and I'll have to get used to not having him around again. Haha.
Isn't that just another reflection of life? Things are always changing and we're always being asked to adjust.
With the work things, the social things and the home things being nicely ticked off, Brad and I went for a walk before dinner. Thankfully, it was a little cooler by 4pm when we headed out, and in the bush, in the shade, it's a bit cooler again. I still sweated right through my t-shirt, but you know, it was tolerable (*as she chugs water to recuperate :P)
In the warmth of the afternoon there were still plenty of animals in the bush. I didn't spot any wallabies today (usually we see at least one every day) but I saw a raven (big black bird), a magpie (a big black and white bird), this awesome lizard (below) sucking up the last of the sunlight and this very big spider hanging out in its web waaaaay above our head (second photo).
I just finished a 3.7km walking that lasted about 0hh:53mm:15ss !
