June the 4th 2021, Bled, Slovenia. Friday afternoon. A hot and very humid day with the promise of an incoming summer storm. It was the day of the Bled Business Run where the teams of three runners from Slovenian companies try to run as fast as possible around Lake Bled and pass the baton to their teammates.
Our team was there to have fun and perform at our best at the same time. No pressure to win the race. That's why our warmup looked like this too.
It was partially cloudy with heavy clouds coming from the mountains. Luckily, they didn't reach the lake to their fullest.
The run was fun. I tried to move my legs as fast as possible at a consistent pace. Six kilometers around the lake in very humid weather at your best weren't exactly a walk in the park. Yet it was close.
Kilometer times show that I started quite fast and later tried to maintain the pace.
In the end, it was slightly above 28 minutes for the lap around the lake. I was completely satisfied.
After the run, we were treated to an after-run party with delicious pasta with mushrooms. And I already told you about kremšnita, the famous cream cake.
Oh yes, the bib numbers. I printed them. The bb numbers printing business is heating up, I hope.

It was great to be able to participate in an official running event after a long time. It was even better to run in the company of my coworkers.
