Ah Liver King.... you remember that guy right? I looked at a little bit of his stuff but am the wrong target audience for whatever it is that he was trying to sell. I'm actually the wrong target audience for anyone promoting anything on their channel as far as fitness is concerned because it is just so glaringly obvious that they don't actually believe in these products and probably don't even use them themselves.
I'm getting mixed results about the actual lawsuit amount, but it is somewhere between 25 and 100 million USD.
That being said I actually did enjoy a few of the things that Liver King had to say such as getting away from social-media addition, limiting contact with technology, and living life more mindfully in an effort to improve mental health.
This doesn't change the fact that the guy was a complete fraud and not just that, when he was busted he gave a non-apology and doubled down on the lies saying that he was "taking the steroids as an experiment" so that he could prove certain things to his viewers.... yeah man.... sure.
How someone got a hold of his private emails detailing his $12,000 a month steroid regimen is pretty crazy, but that doesn't change the fact that this one big lie was enough to bring his empire down.
Now I don't even know what most of that stuff is but I would imagine that the person he was talking to about it did and this is how it ended up leaking. I do know from the little bit of research that I have done that this is not raw liver and other meats that the man claimed to be his primary source of fuel... well, that and his overpriced supplements that he conveniently sold on all of his channels.
The lawsuit that was just filed is excessive, that is for sure and it really isn't surprising since lawyers will always pounce when it looks like some money can be made.
Liver King has boasted about the money that he was making and this was one of his loaded messages to inspire young people to live like him and subsequently purchase the products that he was selling that would further enrich him.
The claim behind the lawsuit is that all the profits that he made from false advertising is owed back to the people who purchased them since the entire reason behind anyone buying this stuff was based on results that cannot be achieved using the methods that he claimed would accomplish exactly that. This is fair enough I guess but just like most lawsuits, the amount is excessive and the class-action suit is likely going to be settled for a much smaller amount.
The fact that anyone could look at this guy and not simply presume he is on PED's kind of shows how little people know about fitness and diet because if you were to ask anyone who actually is "natty" they would tell you that Liver King is definitely not natural and that PED's are absolutely a big part of his program.

this simply isn't possible without PED's
I don't know what the world can take away from this story. In all honestly I would imagine that the blinded masses will continue to listen to snake-oil salesmen selling impossible dreams rather than admit that actual hard work and dedication to diet is necessary to achieve success and no supplement other than PED's is going to change that.
I am strongly opposed to lawsuits that are excessive by design because the idea is that the defendant will simply settle without going to trial for a much smaller amount of money and then the lawyers get to pad their own pockets while giving a little bit of money to their clients. I also do not feel bad for the people that were duped by this, and so many other influencers like him.
I would guess that this lawsuit gets settled for around $5 million and then it goes away quietly and permanently. There are just too many people out there looking for some sort of shortcut in life and fitness and until they recognize that there are no shortcuts this is not going to change. Well, I suppose there are some shortcuts and they are detailed in the leaked email.
While I am significantly smaller (but taller) than "the King" I have never taken PED's and I don't even use many supplements at all. If you want to lose weight and feel better about yourself you have the power to do that on your own, and I sincerely hope that you do
