I posted a Brian Giles card not too long ago, and now we take a look Brian's younger brother Marcus.
As a Phillies fan I remember Marcus pretty well, he was a steady hitter for the NL East rival Braves for a good while in the 2000's. He had a particularly excellent season in 2003 where he earned his only All-Star selection. That season Brian played in 145 games and held a .316 batting average. He also posted his career highs in home runs with 21 and RBIs with 69 that season.
As a kid I thought Marcus was going to be a great in the sport for awhile. He had a solid 2004 and 2005 but Giles seemed to lose some of his juice after that.
Giles retired some time after 2009. He finished his career with 819 hits, 76 home runs and a .277 career batting average.
Covering all of these cards/players I am starting to feel like a detective of my own childhood LOL.
