60th Anniversary In Service To Humanity
Today was one of the remarkable days in the life of my boss in the office. It is a day that will ever remain unforgettable and the memory will remain forever in his life. Today is my boss 60 years in service as a teacher. His lifestyle is worthy to emulate because there is assurance you will surely reap it at the end.
The program started with an opening prayer as Mr Avuaja the PhD in English linguistics called Mr Peter to give the opening prayer.
Mr Peter thus prayed, “Father we thank you for making today a memorable day in life of everyone of us and especially the celebrant: we pray that today's program will be itch free in the name of jesus. Today will be another stepping stone for a celebrant in the name of jesus.
After the prayer, the dignitaries were introduced and the program coordinator called one of his subordinates who has been working with him for a decade to give a brief of him since he has been working with him.
“ It is a great opportunity to work under him for 10 years,my boss is a disciplinarian who does like laziness, he taught me resilience and how to be diligent in the work. He is very considerate and transparent: he always told me I have not done enough when I thought I have done the best, pushing me to be more productive and versatile.
“ One day I got angry because he always said, '' I have not done anything” but today those things I learned from him became my lifestyle. Today, I am indispensable in this school, I am always called over every matter in the school, you can all testify to that” said Mr Endurance.
One of his children also read his biography, “Mr Irantiola was born 60 years ago to the family of Mr Michael, he attended Methodist primary school in 1976, and wrote his common entrance examination to secondary school in 1981, attended teachers’ college in 1987-1989. He got civil service work in 1990 and also married the same year, he married Cecilia who happens to be a nurse, and he is blessed with four children- two male and female. He likes joking and playing and carrying everyone along in the family” read by his son.
His subordinates baked a cake to congratulate him for the successful journey and wrote on the cake, ‘GOODBYE TENSION WELCOME PENSION’ interpreted, that during the service we experienced tension because of the activities and after retirement you are not bothered by tension again.
The cake was cut by many dignitaries in the school, the vice principal of junior and senior high school, mathematics teacher for senior high school, Mr karrem, a politician and wealthy man, and his son Thompson.
He was given gifts by his subordinates and the gifts were presented to him by the English teacher in senior high school, Mrs Florence and vice principal of senior high school Mr Elliot.
One of his staff, Mr Olaart, presented a gift of a portrait picture of him.
Mr Irantiola signed out, and handed over the school to the vice principal, Mr Elliot.
