It is almost Christmas. The holiday season is mostly about family, fun, and food. Everyone seems to be in a good mood. I want to have a wonderful Christmas, the one that will supersede the previous one I had experienced, the one that will add some weight to my skinny body due to excess feeding and relaxation.
As funny as that sounds, that's what one of my siblings pleaded for when we had a phone call two days ago. She begged me to come home on time to have the maximum relaxation, the kind I've not had for a long time due to tight work schedule, and also to gain weight and stop being skinny. We laughed over it, but deep down in my heart, I've programmed this upcoming Christmas to be the best for me, and these are the things on my to-do list:
- Travel home early
Usually, I travel home during the Christmas season on the 28th or 29th of December (after the Christmas celebration), and this is due to my tight work schedule that ties me down, working both nights and days of that period just to meet demands.
This time around, I'm applying "I'm my own boss" and closing every type of hustling on or before December 23rd and travel home.
My life is always at ease at home. I have many siblings that do housework and wash my clothes. They cook, so I don't have to rack my brain on what to cook and eat, as it happens whenever I'm alone. My lifestyle at home is basically: press phone, eat, and get enough sleep.
I can't wait to enjoy all these as early as possible.
- Eat and sleep
This is one of the major things I'm looking forward to.
One thing I've come to understand about food and relaxation as it relates to a healthy lifestyle is that, food alone cannot give the body the support it needs. It must be balanced.
It's not like I haven't been eating at my current city; of course I've been feeding well, but the rest and sleep it needs as a support to strike a good functional system in my body have always been lacking.
No wonder my dad always says that 'afternoon sleep'(nap) is very nourishing to the body. He makes it clear this way, "it adds weight to the body".
He doesn't joke with this nap; he utilizes the moment anytime he feels dizzy, even at the farm.
Oh yeah, I want to add weight, I want to eat, and I want maximum relaxation.
Whenever I'm at home, I don't eat and at the same time considering tomorrow; No way! tomorrow will cater for itself.
There's always food at home and during the Christmas season? It's usually in excess.
Yeah, that's because we farm, and food has never been our problem.
Gosh! I wish I'd traveled home already!
It's surely going to be a fun-filled one for me because no matter what, whether there's enough finance or not to foot bills, all I need is to send a reasonable amount home as a support, and boom, I have an unlimited ticket to life of free excess food and maximum relaxation.
Thanks for reading.
