Hey folks,
First of all, let’s give a round of applause to the author of the cover photo. It’s absolutely beautiful!
😀
I chose it from all the pictures that came in with this week’s entries… and I keep thinking about how we could get everyone involved in a little photo contest for cyclists. We mentioned it a few days ago, and it will be called Ride it, snap it, share it! I think it could be fun and would encourage a bit more interaction here.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments section if you’d enjoy something like this in our community.
And now, let’s move on to another topic:
Why did I mention in the title that the competition is heating up, you may ask? 😁 Well, this week I came to the community every single day to collect each participation through #Strava2Hive. I thought it would be easier that way, so I wouldn’t miss any. But what I saw — how suddenly the podium started shifting strongly — was really interesting. For a moment, those who were ahead ended up behind. Haha… I smiled more than once at this. Are you competing to be on this podium? Or was it just pure coincidence? Hahaha…

Those who didn’t make it to the podium are our cycling turtles 🐢🚴…
just kidding, friends!
However, other turtles also lagged behind this week as they didn’t find the time to share their routes, thoughts, and adventures in posts of more than 250 words. We missed them. Perhaps we’ll see a Giro — not the Giro d’Italia with its unfortunate crash, but rather a giro, a turn of events, right here in our community. I’m sure in the coming week we’ll find plenty of inspiration and time.
So let’s recognize our writers below. You can still leave them a vote, an emoji, or a small comment on their contributions. Thanks, guys.

Here we have Lesmann’s usual summary with his two bicycles. Pleasant weather — he comments, although there were strong winds… that’s right. Many times not all the conditions are ideal for enjoying our bike rides…

Flemingfarm’s week was packed with work — and then came some robber bees! 🐝 I’m not sure how that story ended, but what I do know is that he’s getting ready for a long ride in 12 days (if I got that right!).

Andyjaypowell brought us some very beautiful views and also found a very interesting inscription on a cross, which is almost a must‑see destination for mountain bikers.
Ok. Time for the ChitChat topic(s)!
- Look for two or three motivational phrases related to cycling, reflect on them, and tell us how you live them on your rides.
- We know that around this time the Giro d’Italia is being celebrated — it started yesterday in Bulgaria and will end with the month in Rome. Tell us what you’ve seen and what you think about the different stages, the athletes competing, and the events that are shaping this race.
...
Remember to use the hashtag #CyclingChitChat, and feel free to invite a friend to join in. That will help us connect with more people.
You can reply in the comments on this post or even write a whole post about it… it’s your choice. We’ll be waiting for you.

Onboarding new cyclists
[Edit by ]
and I have been discussing how we can grow the community.
The Cycling Community has already become more active lately (credits to ), which is nice to see.
But the more, the merrier, so we've been looking for ways to onboard more cyclists to Hive and we can do so with Hiveinvite.
I've created a QR code that can be used to create an account for free. The account has some HP, so can be used immediately to interact on Hive.
The person that uses the QR code will automatically join the Cycling Community.
So if you know cyclists that might want to join the community and share their their cycling passion, feel free to share this QR with them!
If you want to onboard more cyclists, contact me and I can arrange more codes for you.
Let's make this community more active!
